Reissue Campaign?

#

Started by Private Nobody (Michael McGrath-Bryan)

Who here reckons we should follow Andy’s advice (I refer to a Q&A done on this site last year) and hassle Universal and Southern into reissuing the older Therapy? albums, remastered, with extras, at a mid-/budget price, like the Ramones remasters?

The way Universal are churning out stuff, you would imagine that a special version of Troublegum is in the works…

A special “anniversary” cd of Troublegum with bonus tracks and a dvd would be nice! Also other cd reissues would be welcome ofcourse.

Poeple, this is a must. Surely the BBC Sessions are a sign that these reissues are over due.

The only trouble is the year. Too late for a 10th anniversary. And if we want a 15 year anniversary - we have to wait another year or so.
Maybe we could get a 14 year anniversary - one year for every track on the album :p

some bands reissue cds if they have a new album out, so maybe therapy? will do the same.

I’ll get started on MySpace and Bebo pages so we can spread the word and catch the attention of Universal and Southern.

Yeah, i like this idea - it would be nice to finally to create a T? mix cd that sounds coherent, without the volume needing to be turned up or down depending on which era a particular track comes from!

Reissued, maybe, extra track, yes please, remastered though…? Why? It doesn’t need it.

a lot may depend on who owns the masters. The Universal one’s would probably be expensive to get ahold of. And I doubt they’d do a remaster and wide reissue. Unless T?’s next ablum really sells.

I can’t imagine it being too expensive to get ahold of Babyteeth and Pleasure Death, since they were indies. And they need it the most…next to Nurse.

I’d love to hear a version of Nurse with more oomph. It sounds great as it is, but would be nice to get a nice fat mix with more bass Like Troublegum.

I dunno. That’s kinda part of the quaintness.

I would like to see all the B-sides on CD.

I doubt it, as it never really sold.
