How about how the world sees a set standard as normal when in actual fact what we label as normal is probably unnormal and those whose ideas and way of lives we critisize are probably the normal ones.

I always thought of Infernal Love as a bit of a concept album. If you think about it, the whole album deals with flip sides of love… either love gone bad, unconventional relationships, obsession, falling out of love, self distructive relationships etc.

Its not telling a single story like some concept albums, but there’s definatly a strong thread between the tracks.

How about a concept album ABOUT concept albums ?

Or a story about a guy trying to write a concept album but failing :P

I have it: The concept could be the dirty underbelly of the soft drinks trade.

The album cover could be a mock up of a fizzy drinks label, the album could start with the sound of a bottle top being unscrewed and the ensuing “pffffffft” noise, and, justto make it a proper concept album, it could be done in such a way that it is in synch with the director’s cut of Blad Runner. Or summat.

I’ve heard that every Kiss album played back to back snychus up perfectly with the 7 hour directors cut version of Richard Burton’s Cleoptara.

Of course, nobody would ever be able to prove that.

I always thought the same! Isn’t it supposed to be like that?

Was the concept “let’s ruin an otherwise decent album with some pointless and annoying sound effects inbetween songs?”

If you play it alongside Wizard of Oz, the weirdy noises bits match up with the times when Dorothy turns to the camera and says “fuck me, is that Holmes fella still dicking around with that shit?! CUNT!”

I may have been on drugs when I noticed this, however.

I love Scenes From A Memory - It has to be Dream Theater’s best album.

Beyond this life being the best track ( Graeme reckons it’s Fatal Tragedy )
