All this stuff with tanks around Heathrow and Americans being advised to buy survival stocks…seems like we’re heading towards Armageddon :( What the fuck’s going on with the world?

The US and Britain want to destroy a regime that they helped arm in the first place. And a regime we helped into power.

I think.

It’s all pathetic.

i’ve got two flights in the next two weeks and, to be honest, i don’t really look forward to it.

well i personally think that all this is happening mainly to scare you people off. frightened people are easier to manipulate and to be led into war. especially if this war is supposed to be happening to secure your safety…it’s all so hilarious. and the worse thing of all is that they seem to have achieved their goal.

Who are “all you people”? And IMO, it’s not at all hilarious.

you people, living in the UK and the USA. it is hilarious seeing all these TV and radio messages where Blur and Bush address to the people and talk about the necessity of the war. like i said before, i think all this thing with tanks around heathrow is a farse.

no, i don’t buy it. that definition of war sounds a little bit too reductive and too cynical. surely people in new york city wouldn’t agree either. those who lost someone in the towers and those who see police guys carrying machine guns next to them. what do we know about real threats?
what d’ye mean by ‘achieving their goal’ anyway? scare people off or guarantee more security?
because you know what, i don’t think any of them are the case.
it’s a fact you can’t truly trust what’s written on papers or what you hear on tv. you might find it strange that nothing really serious happened after semptember 11th. you’re allowed to think that american government is doing this for petrol and power. selling weapons to terrorists to have their country attacked thus have a good excuse to invade iraq? put it like that. they know the whole thing isn’t doing any good to european community. these stuff, call it sad, very sad but not hilarious. is it fun when innocent civilians are killed? or when soldiers are sacrificed?

Did anyone go to an anti-war protest yesterday? The one in Belfast was brillaint - a real humanitarian atmosphere that crossed religious / political / class divides through the 10 thousand people gathering together. If it wasn’t the biggest politically driven assembly outside Belfast city hall, it was certainly the best.
