She’s done more than one album hasn’t she? I think so…If so, an hour is just rubbish, for an act of her current status.
If you’re into the whole show side of a gig (as opposed to four sweaty men jumping around in front of a stack of amps and three lightbulbs) you should go and see Pink, her show is amazing.

I love both things. went to see NIN last march, nearly fell of the balcony when they started with mr. selfdestruct
But I went to see robbie last summer, kylie and madonna 2 years ago, something totaly different, and I just loved the grandeur of their shows. It’s all a bit too pompous from time to time, but it puts a smile on my face

I agree, too much of the same thing is boring all the time. Sometimes serious music is fine, sometimes you have to kick out the cobwebs and enjoy something that, on paper at least, is “cheesy”
This, however, does not apply to my daily intake of chocolate. That is the exception that proves the rule.

Yes i agree, you should go and see Pink, i’ve seen her perform last year and the show was great! I thought it was a bit like modeling clothes because almost every song she had to
wear something different, but that is the only critical comment i have.

Yeah, the costume change thing was a bit annoying after a while, cos there were parts of the show that were definite filler just so she could be off stage changing.
Despite the great show though it has to be said she has one hell of a voice too, it’s not all smoke and mirrors.

My problem is that most of the bands I want to see don’t exist any more!
Aerosmith was on tour in Europe this summer, I’ve seen them on the Arrow Rock Festival in Holland.
ZZ Top used to play there aswell, but due to illness of the bass-player, they cancelled the European summer tour.

Couple of gigs before Christmas for me , most notably The Slackers and The Damned.
When I’m back home for my X-Mas hollies I’m missing Kerbdog in Dublin on the 22nd . At a wild guess I’d say Alan will be up for that one.
Still in doubt whether to make the trip to Cologne or not.

Or for a more “on topic” answer, after tonight’s Thunder gig, the next gig I am goint to is actually a Dennis choice as opposed to a Mrs Dennis selection:
Manic Street Preachers.
Here’s hoping they have completely forgotten ever writing Lifeblood and This Is My Worst Album Please Tell Me We Will Write Some Better Ones Than This and concentrate on all the edgy ones off GATS and THB and even a few oldies off GT.

If you go to nme.com there’s a story that Ian Astbury has claimed they are supporting a band in 2008 beginning with an “L” and with a “Z” in it.
NME are claiming this as confirmation of a Zep tour. Could just be a Liza Minelli residency, though…
