I’ve just finished my first week of work. I work for Tesco… it’s a running thing in my family.
I had £120 for my first 3 days which is pretty good , should have been £160 but it got taxed. So it works out £200 for 5 days of work, X that by the 4 weeks i’m working there , I should have about £800. That should keep me for a few months as nowhere will really be taking on after christmas.
Knackered after the first week though.

Minimum wage for a 16 year old in the UK is £3.40 per hour, so I’m happy with £4 p/h which rises to £4.40 after the first month I think.
I love the new place like, the girl I’ve been trying to chat up is working pretty much the same shifts as me, although she does leave on Boxing Day! :(
She did say I had ‘25 days’ to get to know her, I’m guessing is a good sign!
Thanks folkes and congrats Dusty on you’re new job :)
my local Tesco just got re-vamped and are still up to 60 workers short, was tempted to go there as it’s closer but what discount would I honestly need on a Pot Noodle.. :->
