Yeah the line up for The Wildhearts show could have been better , think i’m gonna miss Pitchshifter an all cause the last train is 10:45 , and I don’t really fancy being in Newport over night.

I bet the Cult are brilliant live - plus - should be right up your street ‘Mr Classic Rock!’ :D

Yeah you’d think so but i bought the Music Without Fear live DVD from the tour for the album before the one they’re on now and Astbury is just, meh. Misses out half of the words in the choruses cos he’s out of breath and he just hasn’t got a fraction of the charisma he so obviously think he has.
And Billy Duffy just looks so bored as if he’d rather be at home with a cup of tea, a Hob Nob and Countdown on the telly.

The Damned for me as well in 2 weeks ( on the 14th in Dublin ).
Already have my Dropkick Murphys tickets for 31 January ‘08 and have ordered The Dillinger Escape Plan in Whelans 16 February ‘08 with support from “Between the Buried and Me”. Hopefully T? will throw a couple in too in the early months of next year to start the year off with a blast.

By the way Lanegan sang on eight of the songs on the Soulsavers album.

Kind of maybe not expecting this to come true…:(
Got no gigs booked for the foreseeable. Still clinging to the hope that ACDC may tour in 2008.

My biggest goal for next year will be to see Iron Maiden with the Powerslave stage set up, that will kick ass! Just no Irish Date as of yet :(
Velvet Revolver are coming next March, will probably go just to see Scotty and Slash up close…
Oh yes, a Therapy? gig in Dublin wouldn’t be bad either (don’t anyone even think about coming back with the whole “why don’t you just go abroad, it is so cheap” crap - we have been there before ;).

Thought that was the point of being a singer, ah well never mind. Is she actually shagging Jay-Z or is it more a little sister kinda thing?

aha, the 4th of march in the botanique. It’s a really nice venue (that’s where I met the boyfriend). I will check it with the boyfriend if he wants to come with me.

I heard a couple of tracks and I don’t know what to think. It is very different to his angry violent music , he seems to have gone too electro and soft

Not at all - Futurist was an insanely angry punkish album. Even the album before that, Intelligence and Sacrifice, had guitars in it. I saw him live a couple of years ago and it was a proper rock gig with a drummer, bassist, him on guitar, and Nic Endo on keyboards.
