Maybe we should go to the “Hopes for the next T? album” thread and suggest a Therapy? Xmas album…?
“The Therapy? Xmas Album, out now on K-Tel, available from your local record store now!”
*Camera cuts to Andy C ,complete with festive cardigan, in large rocking chair. Soft focus. Sounds of sleigh bells*
“Me and my friends have compiled some of our very favourite Christmas songs for this very special time of the year…”
*Andy smiles. A little shiny star can be seen beaming from his teeth*
*Huge fuck off Mikehell bass riffs kicks in, joined by drums from Hades*
*Advert ends abruptly, just as lyric begins, with the syllable “FU…”*
Ah well, I can dream…

So last night,The Black Crusade tourdate at Paris ,here’s a little sum-up :
Arch Enemy :Holy sh*t,We arrived to late with my friend to check them out,and they played very early around 6 pm,but for what I was told ,The only performed 5 songs for 20 minutes and the “Diva Satanica” was wiser as usual :D
DragonForce: a very pleasant set. Good performance :).
Trivium : Me talking to my friend :”hey Matt,Where’s the bar,I’ll pay for the beers for us.It will make my day”
Machine “Fucking” Head :Raaaaaahhhhh,F*cking awesome.Thx Mr Robb Flynn for throwing at us some Vodka/Coca drinks (sorry I forgot the name of this cocktail).Just a pity they played for 45 minutes…

I took the wife to see Thunder. Yes yes yes I know but they are pretty good live and it was most amusing watching the blind terror on the face of the lighting guy just behind the mixing desk when his whole console went dead just before the encores. All the power just went, his PC went off and half the stage was in darkness. The lead singer went off and got two torches off a roadie to point at the guitarist!

I mean I’ve musically grown up with late 80s /early 90s alternative or indie rock and nothing beats those bands still around. I include T? in this list ‘coz their gig in Bucharest earlier this year is also in my top 5 list for 2007.
I’ve seen The Weakerthans the night before and they were really good but it was nothing compared to the energy and magic Buffalo Tom created.

I have a terrible, terrible confession to make. I bought a Shed Seven album once.
I know, I know… I was going through an Indie period, split up with a girlfriend, felt lost and impressionable and they had a catchy song that sounded a bit like the Smiths and before I knew it…
There I was, stood outside HMV with one of their black bags with the pink writing and that cute little doggy on…and…oh my god, what have I just done?!

New Order
Early Oasis (Def Maybe)
The Smiths
Morrissey
The Jam
Echo and the Bunnymen
Cliff Richard
Gene
Early Catatonia (first album is proper indie heaven)
Lemonheads
Depeche Mode
I may even have bought a few Sleeper albums during a moment of weakness

Shadows Fall was pretty ok, Arch Enemy kicked major ass, Dragonforce were absolute shit (I thought it could not get worser than Manowar, clearly
I was wrong), Trivium was surprisingly good and Machine Head were absolutely brilliant !
I´m very surprised to read they only played 45´ in Paris because they have the same setlist every night and they play a little bit more
than 1 hour.
