In Germany the rock band Kiss have to use a slightly different logo to the one used in the rest of the world…as the double SS is similar to the Nazi SS logo, and Nazi symbols are banned here.

At age 47, the Rolling Stones’ bassist, Bill Wyman, began a relationship with 13-year old Mandy Smith, with her mother’s blessing. Six years later, they were married, but the marriage only lasted a year.
Not long after, Bill’s 30-year-old son Stephen married Mandy’s mother, age 46. That made Stephen a stepfather to his former stepmother. If Bill and Mandy had remained married, Stephen would have been his father’s father-in-law and his own grandpa.

Couple of years ago I met Shane McGowan by coincidence in the airport in Prague.
He was drunk ( no surprise there ) and I was getting there.
My travel companion still says he wished he had recorded the ‘conversation’ :)

I had a “conversation” with Shane McGowan once. I was working at Glasgow Academy for a Primal Scream gig and he turned up at the door. We did know he was supposed to be turning up, but didn’t think he would.

Anyway, i was working at his gig in the Barrowland the night before where he turned up rediculously late after getting lost in Aberdeen the previous night. They found him at 4 o’clock on the day of the Glasgow show and it took them HOURS to persuade him to do the show.

Anyway, he turned up at the Academy, still wearing the clothes he had worn for the night befores show (and prob the night befores again) and he started talking. It actually sounded more like a hiss and i just answered every hiss with a laugh, a nod and a “yes, i’ll take you round to the stage door” When i finally deciphered what he was saying, it turned out that he remembered me from the night before and was asking if we had found his red shirt!! lol :D

Random fact - Faith No More were the first band to play Glasgow Barrowland for 4 nights.
