Dos it say what label it’s on? I guess if it’s not out until then they may have a long stint in the studio planned-maybe some short jaunts inbetween too-possibly rvealing some new songs at some festivals.???

no.. no news as to which label yet..
it says.’.. frontman Andy Cairns envisages a full album release, preceded by a May taster in single or download form’..
Title: TBC
Due: September

so at least we might get a single or something before hand in May..

Met Andy and the boys in the pub yesterday and he said he would send you a pm this morning with the name of their new label , exact release date of new album , album title , mp3s of all the tracks and their tour schedule for 2008.

Hope that helps.

If it is coming out in September, that’ll be the longest wait between albums since Infernal Love to Semi Detached (I think).

Don’t know whether that’s a good sign or not. If what Michael says is true about them wanting it to be tight as f**k etc then that’s good, but I think this next release will be a very interesting chapter in the Therapy? story one way or another.

a single in May then a full album 4 months later? I thought you capitalised on getting back in the public eye by realeasing your single 2 weeks ahead of the album these days? I hope they know what they’re doing! (i do have faith by the way and can’t wait!)

I know i’m going to get shit for this but i hope they do something with their image this time around too. Not in a nasty way but the Rock Stars look of Troublegum was great, and at least the Infernal Love look was a style (of sorts!) On OCFA with their all black uniforms of silky shirts - well, it was a bit disingenious wasn’t it? Thats what bands do when they can’t think of what to wear! (i know i was in those bands!)

Singer - “I want to look cool and different this time around”

Rest of band - “Er…”

All of band - “let’s just go black - its a rock colour since we can’t decide!”

The last time I saw the band was at Novarock and they were the tightest I’ve ever seen them, with Neil, and as a three piece.

I have to say though, 9 months to release the next album is pretty shit.

Its probably not even the release date - just a far off date that will most likely be bought forward.

Aye, but…

Nurse (November 1992) - Troublegum (February 1994) = 1 year 3 months
Troublegum (February 1994) - Infernal Love (June 1995) = 1 year 4 months
Infernal Love (June 1995) - Semi Detached (May 1998) = 2 years 11 months
Semi Detached (May 1998) - SPYF (October 1999) = 1 year 5 months
SPYF (October 1999) - Shameless (September 2001) = 1 year 11 months
Shameless (September 2001) - High Anxiety (May 2003) = 1 year 8 months
High Anxiety (May 2003) - NANE (September 2004) = 1 year 4 months
NANE (September 2004) - One Cure Fits All (April 2006) = 1 year 7 months
OCFA (April 2006) - ? (September 2008?) = 2 years 5 months?

Would that be Paul from Gwala Promotions ? The man’s a legend for looking after the ‘Irish lads’ last time around.

Doubt it will be T? announced for that night though , have a feeling not that much will happen until the album is finished.

^You know what, I thought that myself! I was going by Wikipedia… never a good idea.

That means it’s

Infernal Love (June 1995) - Semi Detached (March 1998) = 2 years 9 months
Semi Detached (March 1998) - SPYF (October 1999) = 1 year 7 months

Wikipedia also says that Infernal Love came out in January 1995 in North America :-/

If you’ve nothing to do this aft maybe you could plot ‘time between albums in days’ against ‘number of songs on album’ on some sort of graph to give us some sort of average… ;)
