Best kickstart song

#

Started by Shade

Imagine; you’ve slept for three hours and are awoken by an alarmclock with the sound of Satan screeching repeatedly and mercilessly. You have to leave for slavery/laboury in twenty minutes. What Therapy? song would you use to kickstart your body and mind?

Personally I’m fond of both Dance and Knives for this occasion. I’m curious what sort of weapons are chosen.

Lyrically, I think Heaven’s Gate is the obvious first-thing-in-the-morning song. I’d probably go for Long Distance though :)

I used to use Knives back in the day.

I used to have a paper round, until I was 18 and if I had had a good night the previous night I would set my CD player with Troublegum in to come on on high volume with Knives and I would hide the remote so I would have to jump out of bed to turn it down. The amount of adrenaline that used to send through you was astonishing and you’d be awake immediately.

Good short term fix, but what you’d do for the next 19 and a half minutes I don’t know.

I used to listen to either Go Let it out by oasis or Beautiful Day by u2 before going to my course every day. :)

The three hours sleep sounds familiar. Instead of the alarm clock it’s usually a 2-year old doing the trick though , who won’t stop screaming until we put on Cbeebies for him. Lazytown and Balamry are great at 6am !

For waking up I normally steer away from T? and would put on some Leatherface instead. Springtime in particular is ideal to wake up to and put a smile on the face.

I prefer ‘Deep sleep” and hope that I won’t have to “Rise up”.

Goodness. Screaming children/infants/whatevers. I’m glad I’m an isolated piece of barely-existance.

Polar Bear and Teethgrinder seem good choices too. Today on my early morning I have some more time and opted for the Breeders.

Sprung is also a great kickstart for every day or a event (party etc.)
