Your Radiohead compilation

#

Started by mr self destruct

Having some time on my hands this weekend I listened to Radiohead’s last 5 albums and made a compilation (no early stuff as it doesn’t really fit with the generally bleak mood I was aiming for). Yes, I really did ;)

1) Pyramid Song
2) Idioteque
3) All I Need
4) I Might Be Wrong
5) Climbing Up The Walls
6) A Punchup At A Wedding
7) Reckoner
8) Where I End And You Begin
9) How To Disappear Completely
10) Karma Police
11) Exit music (for a film)

If you have as much free time as me then feel free to join in :)

If I was to make a compilation of the latter albums, it would look something like this:

1. Everything In Its Right Place
2. Packt Like Sardines…
3. Pyramid Song
4. The National Anthem
5. I Might Be Wrong
6. How To Dissapear Completely
7. Optimistic
8. Idioteque
9. Morning Bell
10. Go To Bed
11. Motion Picture Soundtrack

All i need is “The Bends”, a little bit “Pablo Honey” and a little bit “OK Computer” to make a nice compilation, just attach a few songs to The Bends and i’m happy. I wouldn’t use any of the last couple of albums.

I am surprised that people like Pyramid Song.. I find it difficult to listen to, just trying to judge when he’s going to hit the piano again. Sorry, but it just doesn’t work for me at all - it’s a really unpleasant sensation.

I like Bones and Anyone Can Play Guitar and Karma Police. Am I too mainstream to be a Radiohead fan? :(

I dont mind Pyramid Song but the version of Morning Bell on Kid A is far superior to the Amnesiac version.

I haven’t listened to ANY radiohead album since OK Computer. When I heard Pyramid Song I thought they had lost the plot completely, so for me, some Pablo Honey, some The Bends and some OK Computer would do for a compilaton.

i think everything they’ve done since the bends has pissed all over the bends But i’ve said this many times before. :D And pablo honey is an unremarkabe debut at best…

Pyramid song is one of my faves. Top “tune”.

But back to the original post, great list! Except maybe climbing up the walls, i never did get on with that one.

OK, if I was to make a 10 song Radiohead compilation album with at least one song off each album, it would look a little something like this

1- You
2- There There
3- In Limbo
4- Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
5- Paranoid Android
6- The Eraser (I know I’m cheating a bit!)
7- Sulk
8- The Morning Bell/Amnesiac
9- Climbing Up The Walls
10- Videotape

What is the general WoM opinion on the Mark Ronson version of Just?

Quite like it meself. Mind, I heard a LIve Lounger version of Street Spirit by The Darkness today which pushed the envelope of shiteness to levels only previous understood by long-term workers in the sewerage industry

my opinion of mark ronson in general is that he is a thieving cunt who somehow has become a star by just playing other folks songs. I really really don’t get it. I mean, did everybody completely forget that zutons released valerie only a few months back?? cunt.
