At my CBT class we do a similar thing, you start with your toes and tense/scrunch them as much as you can for a few seconds, then relax. Do it 3 times, then do your calf muscles, then thighs; bum; hands; arms; shoulders; neck; eyes; nose; mouth. It makes you feel all floopy and ready for bed :)

…I’ve had no drinks with anything in them that even rhymes with caffine…
@ hooch: I’ve done those stretches you suggested.. (they are rather nice!! :P )
I had a slice of toast..(minus the butter… i’m lactose intolerant..:( )
I had a hot bath.. with some nice posh bubbles from Lush!!
and still no luck!!

i went for a jog about an hour ago thinking it would wear me out..
…turns out it makes you more awake and hurts your legs.. :S

i’m debating using sleeping tablets again.. although it’s hard to get up early in the morning which i need to do for work..
oh poo!!

CBT? I know several possible meanings for that, but can’t imagine those exercises being needed for any of them. And one of them is quite scary…

 I don’t see how that will help Holly’s insomnia. If she does fall asleep, she’ll have nightmares.

Holly you should read Emma.

It is the most boring book ever written. When I was in school I used to have trouble sleeping and reading half a page of Emma always put me into a coma!

Or that late night televised poker. I can’t vouch for it’s boringness personally, but I would think it’s a pretty safe bet.

What are your experiences with sleeping tablets? I’ve never taken them but have been tempted before. Read some bad things mind.

i had them when i was younger..they just made me feel like crap..
although i had a combination of tablets..
one of the side affects of one of the tablets was insomnia..the other ones were supposed to prevent it…
but had to take them all…

i wouldn’t recommend sleeping tablets..
they can become addictive..and the more you use them the less they’ll work…

Seriously though, any sleep yet?
This thread’s been going for a few days, if you haven’t slept since it started it could really take it’s toll on your body.
And that’s not too good…
