Any decent stuff on the telly over in the UK at the moment? Crime series in particular?

Can’t think of any good UK drama at the mo… I’ve been watching The Wire (which is US)

Yeah, I’ve started with The Wire too - it’s good but has made me want to watch something from a bit closer to home :)

Probably the best UK drama I saw last year was a one off Channel 4 thing called The Mark of Cain (I think that’s what it was called). One of the kids out of Shameless played a young English squaddie going to Iraq - was about bullying in the armed forces and the cost of being loyal to the army. Really powerful stuff

Have you seen ‘Life on Mars’ yet? Best drama of the decade. And then some. :)

Hmmm - just read a review and the whole time travel thing sounds a bit silly…is it?

So, you are doubting the veracity of the programme then? As far as I know it was a true story

Not at all!! It’s impossible to explain properly without wrecking it for you, but suffice it to say that the time travel is only a small part of each episode, and it’s always the most gripping / scary bit. Honestly - it’s brilliant. Everyone I know that watched it loved it. Plus you get the whole Sweeney style pastiche into the bargain. 10/10 :)

Check out ‘Boy A’ as well - it was part of the same season of “made for TV” channel 4 films. Haven’t seen it but it’s meant to be good

Of course you did - what’s not to enjoy?! Series 1 and 2 are being repeated back to back on Bravo starting next week. I don’t know how these things work though, so I don’t know if you can get that in Germany. Anyway, I hope you get to see the rest of it somehow :)
