And why does everybody keep mentioning heineken?

If you think the 5% Heineken is bad…Brits used to have to drink a 3.4% version of it which literally was as weak as piss

Well, here you go:
Amstel - €1,70 (roughly half a pint)
Murphy’s Red - €2,50 (33cl bottle)
Goat urine - €2,50 (long neck)

Feel free to do the math yourself.

It’s typically a case of choosing the scenery. A pint’ll cost about 2,50E in brown cafés and similar establishments. In the big pubs or assorted expensive outage venues it tends to be around 3,50-4,50E. Then they’re the ‘underground’ establishments that run on volunteer capability.. Pints would be about 2E there. That’s really cheap. Even a Gin ‘n Tonic mix, or say, a Piña Colada won’t cost more than 2,50 in those places. So it’s all a matter of where you look.

My personal favorite is the supermarket, and I’m quite fond of my apartment. The prices are unbelievable.

Have you ever tried Duvel?
I found an empty bottle of duvel in our fridge last weekend. The strange thing about it was that the cap was still firmly on it, and no dents, but it was empty. i seriously suspect my brother (who stayed with us 2 weeks ago) to have put it in…

The pub I regularly go to sells only a couple of lagers, a few bitters & guiness on tap & a quite a few bottle lagers & bitters.
Guiness is £2.65 a pint and the lagers & bitters are between £2.60 & £2.80.
But I tend to stick with either Oranjeboom or Hurlimanns (both Shepherd Neame) - £2.80 a pint each.

Just a shame that no pubs near me sell my favourite beer, Tiger. Mmm lovely :-)~

In shops a 0.5L can of beer costs +/- 3 Euro.

It’s not helping the pubs that you can get enough beer for about 5 people for a night in a supermarket for the same price it would cost you for 1 round in a pub.

Whatever the fuck a “round” is.
