The sludgy riff at the end is far easier -and more fun :D I could play that all day.

they have a greatest hits album on the way, its called GREATEST HIT (AND 21 OTHER PRETTY COOL SONGS) seriously that is what its called.
@kjc dublin - i bought their first album, its good, but i wouldnt play it everyday tho, i cn see why they sacked the singer, he does sound a bit poppy.
does anyone notice how fucked James LaBrie’s voice sounds on Live Scenes From New York? he nearly got sacked because of that.

Hey man,
Yeah, totally agree, he sounds very 80s. La Brie is a good studio vocalist, but am yet to be convinced of his live capabilities. It isn’t the singing that makes me like this band anyways, they are the real music for musicians ban if you ask me.

tbh it was LaBries voice that helped me get into the band, Octavarium was the 1st album i bought from them, and i was hooked on his voice, sounds like a metal Robbie Williams (if you listen carefully)
when i saw them perform ‘another day’ i thought to myself, LaBrie had better get this spot on, cuz its a song with high singing notes and his voice has been awful Scenes…era, when he performed it, it was spot-on,
but on the master of puppets cd they covered, his voice wasnt very good, sounded very weak, whereas the number of the beast album they also covered, he was magnificent!!
