This is a good thing, right? In that case: well done, you!
What’s the idea behind the Dark Angel project, though?

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 10:11:52 03/31/05 Thu [1]

A dark angel is a type of bat. Or if it isn’t it should be… (No ‘old bat’ comments thanks Anna xxx)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna-bloodsundae, 14:06:24 03/31/05 Thu [1]

Innit mush?? well kick some ass!

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 23:17:10 03/31/05 Thu [1]

A bat? So… it’s a bat project?…

*confused*
:s
Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:10:26 04/01/05 Fri [1]

No. It’s a cricket bat…

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 19:01:09 04/01/05 Fri [1]

Aahh… *nods wisely*
I see…

*blinks*

*clears throat*

So the Dark Angel Project is…?

…a cricket bat?

Good. I’m glad that’s all sorted.

I’m really fed up of scrolling and the thread being invisible now, so I’m pulling it back in a bit. I hope.

Mwahahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!

*whimpers pitifully, then tries to look brave in front of mates after you’ve gone*

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 09:51:05 04/04/05 Mon [1]

In the style of a bat?

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 11:29:50 04/04/05 Mon [1]

Naturally.

After all, what other style is there?

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:14:05 04/04/05 Mon [1]

Well there’s ‘Art and Crafts’(which for some reason means furniture) or possibly the style of a club singer - but I think the hangy upside downy thing is far superior :)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 12:20:20 04/04/05 Mon [1]

How about in the style of a black, winged, wicker hanging-chair that croons songs when you least want it to?

What were we talking about again?

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:42:00 04/04/05 Mon [1]

1) And then it flaps about in the night and bites you!! There’s a movie in there somewhere… We could make a film called ‘The Wicker Batman Sings the Blues’ with an all star cast including a number of celebrity design gurus (but obviously starring the special crooning black bewinged wicker beast that eats people instead of just biting them as we have to consider the ratings)

2) Can’t remember.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 16:20:41 04/04/05 Mon [1]

“The Wicker Batman Sings the Blues”

Great! This project is greenlighted as of now!

Dark Angel Project? Pshaw…

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:46:33 04/05/05 Tue [1]

Yeah, we’ll be dead famous – watch out Blood Sundae, the race is on for fame and fortune!

Plot outline – The guy who has been burned in the Wicker Man comes back to life but by a cruel twist of fate he has become obsessed with the idea that he is Michael Keaton, a fact made more tragic by the fact that whilst he was still dead the remains of the Wicker Man have been fashioned into a crude hanging basket-chair. He insists on wearing his black cape and mask, which is one reason why Billie Holliday is fooled into thinking he is nothing more than a mysterious stranger – that and her junkie past of course. Anyway, she tries to teach him to sing, and although he fails miserably he can manage a passable impression of some pan-pipes. Billie builds a big wheeled frame for him to hang from, and she sits in the chair and sings on stage. For a while they have some success, but slowly our hero (played by Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen) comes to realise that he is not in fact batman but a vampire bat, with whom his cells were fused together in the fire – and THAT’S when he devours her to boost the ratings.

Unless you’ve got a better idea?

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna-bloodsundae, 13:27:25 04/05/05 Tue [1]

yes!

The wicker man scared the sh*t out of me and why does L.L.Bowen have to be in it??

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Your Mum, 13:38:05 04/05/05 Tue [1]

Because we have to feature celebrity design gurus or how will people recognise the subtle nuances of the sub-plot?

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna-bloodsundae, 13:46:03 04/05/05 Tue [1]

I dont like it

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 15:35:09 04/05/05 Tue [1]

You won’t be saying that when we’re rich!

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 16:56:39 04/05/05 Tue [1]

She will: she’s not getting a penny.

I like the basic idea, but I think it needs a few tweaks. I think the Wicker man should devour the real Batman and try to assume his identity, mumbling all the while that the costume is the black suit, not that blue one that Batman _used_ to have. Unfortunately, the Bat suit doesn’t fit his huge twiggy form and ends up splitting, thus inspiring him to pen the lyrics to ‘I Got Those Broken Black Batsuit Blues’

The rest of the story willprobably work as it stands, except that you’ve forgotten to appeal to a wider audience: Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen must be ripped into bloody chunks by the vengeful Wickerbatman Chair, after our Laurence decides that Wicker is out, and furniture made out of pebbles and saliva is in.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 09:23:18 04/06/05 Wed [1]

It’s certainly going in the right direction. I’m thinking perhaps that Lawrence is still maybe getting away a bit lightly. Perhaps he should be stoned almost to the point of death with his own cobbled kitchen units and THEN ripped into bloody chunks by the wicker batman … If it doesn’t work for you in the film we could always do that bit at the after-show party? I like the idea of trying to get the Wicker Man into tights, and there is certainly potential there for a few romantic comedy moments. I hope no-one else is reading this, they could be stealing our ideas!

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 15:50:58 04/06/05 Wed [1]

They wouldn’t dare steal our ideas! *whispers* Would they?

Perhaps tehre would be more room for dramatic irony if LLB were to be converted into a piece of furniture himself? Or entombed alive behind a particularly garish example of pseudo-neo-mock-Elizabethan dayglo brickwork?

Just a thought.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 15:56:57 04/06/05 Wed [1]

This thread is the purdiest on the whole board. look at the way it sweeps majestically off to the right. Like a river, or a drunken cyclist.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 09:24:46 04/07/05 Thu [1]

You’re not wrong, but soon all the letters will be on top of one another and very difficult to read…

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna-bloodsundae, 15:51:43 04/07/05 Thu [1]

Why has this post slid to the side??

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 15:58:53 04/07/05 Thu [1]

Slid? Did I bring you up to use words like slid? The post has slidden, I tell you, Slidden!

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 16:27:37 04/07/05 Thu [1]

It’s ‘slud’
*sincere face*

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 16:29:35 04/07/05 Thu [1]

And it’s slud to the side because it’s purdy (and I want to see what happens).

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 16:50:46 04/07/05 Thu [1]

That CAN’T be right… If it’s slud then surely you have to say ‘it sludded’? Anyway one things for sure, we’re not going to be able to write the script for Wicker Batman on this board!

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Emily-Blood Sundae, 19:28:54 04/07/05 Thu [1]

Oh my god this is so great, music, movie, i think you should involve a dance number into the plotline to include the full spectrum of the entertainment industry, may i suggest the Lawrence be en pointe all the way through so he can no only have the grace of a swan but succeed in looking like more of a twat than he usually does (or is that possible???)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 22:26:27 04/07/05 Thu [1]

Well, it’s certainly worth a try.

Now, the most important thing of _any_ movie: what’s its catchy tagline going to be?

American style voiceover:
‘In a sense of Space engendered by a skilled use of pastel colours and mirrors, with artful and appealing storage facilities, no one can hear you sing the blues on a wicker chair dressed as a bat.’

You’ve gotta admit: it’s snappy…

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 09:34:12 04/08/05 Fri [1]

I like you’re thinking Em, How about we shift it up a notch by calling it ‘The Wicker Batladyboy Sings the Blues’? … The tagline is great too. My worry now is that we are possibly slipping away from the focus on Billie Holliday and we need to be very careful to ‘keep it real’… :)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 10:17:19 04/08/05 Fri [1]

Can we use ‘Just Another Day’ for our title theme? I’ve just been listening (Sometimes I do that all day!!) and i think the beautiful haunting melody will be perfect… Especially at the end when the creature is gnawing away at the chunks of Billie Holliday’s flesh we can zoom in to look at the haunted expression in it’s eyes, as the words slowly filter through from the background “No my friend - I will not let you in …” It will melt the hearts of even the most hardened film-goer.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 11:03:40 04/08/05 Fri [1]

Awww! That’s lovely, yes. We _have_ to do it that way.

(I can practically smell the money coming in already: we’ll be rich! rich rich rich!)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:10:24 04/08/05 Fri [1]

Yes, but we have to save some of the money so we can invest it in Rosemary’s Rafia Baby - (Son of Wicker Batladyboy) afterwards …

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:12:43 04/08/05 Fri [1]

Now tell me, how sinister is THIS :-

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 16:49:12 04/08/05 Fri [1]

That;’s cool. Nightmares are _good_ for growing kids, I’m telling you. There’s absolutely no way that thing looks like it’s going to eat anything you put inside. Ho no.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 13:05:36 04/09/05 Sat [1]

Do you think we should buy it for a prop then? You’d have to keep hold of it cos it’s not coming near my house, but I think as soon as our hero’s new wife turns up pushing it in the film our fans will run screaming from the aisles! :)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 15:44:38 04/09/05 Sat [1]

Maybe we could save it for the sequel (because there will be a sequel):
Wickerbatladyboychairman 2:The Son of Wickerbatladyboychairman.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Glen, 21:56:46 04/09/05 Sat [1]

Just like to say… mittens.
Thanks

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:32:22 04/11/05 Mon [1]

Mittens? I don’t think that would work. When I was a girl everybody had wicker mittens, but these days people prefer lambswool or sheepskin…

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:39:55 04/11/05 Mon [1]

Yes I meant for the Rosemary’s Rafia thing - not the main film… I thought maybe after the end of the first film where lawrence eats billie holliday that the next one might start with a young couple moving into the area and her not liking the neighbours (a la Rosemary’s baby) BUT instead of the devil it’s lawrence, and our rosemary gives birth to that horrible wicker pram thing, that’s got an almost human baby in it but it’s kind of part of the pram and it screams when she tries to pull it out - “AiiiieeeeyaaAAAAARGHH” (like that). She thinks about pushing it over a cliff, but then she keeps it because it’s got her dad’s eyes, and he was killed when she was a baby, and then later we find out that he was killed by the wickerbatman!! Or something like that …

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 17:49:24 04/11/05 Mon [1]

Keep it just like that: The film that has it all *tear of happiness*
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. You’ll never sit down again.

Exquisite. Simply exquisite.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:15:51 04/12/05 Tue [1]

Great, So we’re ready then!! You can make a start on the scripts whilst I address the casting issues. I’m thinking the baby who plays freddie in Eastenders would be good for the role of spawn of lawrence wicker basket baby, if we can persuade his real life parents to let us glue him into the ‘baby-carriage’…

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 12:24:49 04/12/05 Tue [1]

If you’re not sure about how to go about the script you should check this out to get some ideas. It’s bloody marvellous because I wrote it (although they have managed to miss out some absolutely crucial chunks when they uploaded it, including most of the final episode!! Probably on purpose on the grounds of taste and decency)… Oh alright then it’s crap, but I had fun and it’s kind of me to let you read it so be nice!! :)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 16:04:42 04/12/05 Tue [1]

*scared*
*recovers quickly*
Write the scripts? Me?! Oh, but of course ahahaha. I’d send you the link to my previous opus… Er. Opuses. Opi. Opus. But I can’t quite seem to remember the link. Doubleyou something? I could of course send you a hardcopy of all my work, but - shoddy, I know - all the letters fell off the pages when I last shuffled them. They’re all still there, naturally, piled onto the keyboard, so it’s just a matter of putting them in order. Qwerty-something, I seem to recall. Though I may be mistaken.
I’ve never been much good with woods (is it? Or ‘wards’? I always get those two confused), so maybe… erm… *runs away*

Nice scripts, by the way. I could do that, obviously. I just choose not to. :p

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 11:34:10 04/13/05 Wed [1]

Aw bless! Alright then, I’ll do all the work and you just sit back and rake in the profits - that seems fair to me :)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 22:07:48 04/13/05 Wed [1]

Woo-hoo!! :D

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 10:22:39 04/25/05 Mon [1]

I got told that this film idea is practically perfect the other day… I just wanted to shove it back up to the top of the board one more time before it sinks and dies :(

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 11:19:16 04/25/05 Mon [1]

So we can salute as it sinks beneath the (text) waves?
One day it shall be made…

As shall the Countdown film, obviously. It’s good to keep several films on the go at once, I feel. That way when they all fail we can blame it on being overworked.

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 13:15:39 04/25/05 Mon [1]

Lets have a minutes silence at 5pm tonight for it. I’ll wrap myself in a flag and you can say a short prayer … Then she can rest in peace :)

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 13:21:34 04/25/05 Mon [1]

With a slow note from a lone bugler.

Yes: ‘bugLer’

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 13:52:03 04/25/05 Mon [1]

I have to be honest here - I’m choked up. A single tear is trickling silently down my cheek as I stare resolutely at the message board. I can hear the bugler and the sobbing of the captain in the galley below. Farewell thread, May God bless her and all who sailed in her …

Re: The Dark Angel Project — daryl, 15:17:59 04/25/05 Mon [1]

Re: The Dark Angel Project — Anna’s Mum, 10:31:08 04/26/05 Tue [1]

We’re letting her die with dignity, thank you for enjoying her. Soon she will be in the great archive in the ether …* more silent tears, and a large painful lump in the throat *

Hey Emily! — Anna’s Mum, 10:34:29 04/26/05 Tue [1]

In fact Em, seeing as you gave birth to her you should probably say the final words …

Re: Hey Emily! — daryl, 11:05:09 04/26/05 Tue [1]

You know this thread won’t die all th etime we keep posting on it/her…

Re: Hey Emily! — Anna’s Mum, 11:55:05 04/26/05 Tue [1]

Maybe I don’t WANT her to die!!!! Just because she’s old and infirm and she doesn’t make sense any more doesn’t mean it’s alright to deliberately murder her!!! We can’t bury her if she’s not dead, can we? Have a heart! …

*Weeps inconsolably into already sodden pillow*

Re: Hey Emily! — daryl, 12:06:06 04/26/05 Tue [1]

hush now, she’s going to a better place. A place where she can straighten out that crooked back of hers, and be happy. Let her have her dignity. And then everytime you close your eyes, you’ll see her; as she USED to be: Not this warped thing she has become, but a discussion about the Dark Angel project. Remember her happy. Remember, _but her let her go._

Re: Hey Emily! — Anna’s Mum, 14:44:26 04/26/05 Tue [1]

*sniffs* ok. Thanks.

Re: Hey Emily! — Anna’s Mum, 16:25:35 06/23/05 Thu [1]

Seriously, you’ve got a good chance of being fine, but don’t take anything for granted. keep your eyes open for other stuff, just in case. And like Ci? says - try not to worry about it :) And like Mr Bomb says - life is like a box of flip flops :S

some better news:
I just heard the impact for the sales deparmtent will be very very limited. I think I will loose my assistant, but she’s over 55 and very willing to be send in early retirement, so not really a loss there. and the others will probably be in finances, IT and the agronomic services.
