It seems to be working now, and does indeed rock, although all this Satan business does seem very silly to me.
What do I need to play/save MP3s on my computer - any particular software or anything? also, what should I look for in a separate MP3 player, and how much should I be looking to pay?

the drumming is very tight, and almost ‘nurse’ sounding, which is great, but overall i don’t think i like the song very much… it sounds, kinda, well, boring… ya it’s heavy, but there is no intesity in their like sp-yf… the vocals sound kinda flat too me… it could grow on me, but right now i’m not as impressed as i hoped to be…

i downloaded the song, and i must admit i was disappointed.
this isnt therapy?
the drumming’s funnily poor, not even close to fyfes and grahams
distinctive smashing methods.
the vocal line is plain, nothing special or passionate.
and the guitars sound so untherapy? nu-metalish.not to mention…
satan you rock…come on,thats silly.
i dont know if you like that kind of music but this isnt a therapy song.
be a little critical.

Here’s my critical opinion: after listening to this song for a few times now, what can i say? It grows!! it sounded a bit strange at the first listening, but now i really like it, although the sound quality of this streaming is quite bad. @ turnandface: are you sure you heard the same song? ok, the lyrics may sound a bit silly, but if i want words of wisdom i read a good book and don’t listen to rock n’ roll.

Well, In my opinion the vocals are mixed bit too much in the “forground”, but I like the sound of Michael´s bass (bit resonator-like). Perhaps not a hit for the broader MTV-society, but for me!

I think this is the first song since the Semi Detached era that I’ve instantly liked on hearing it. I think the drumming is tight and pretty good, that bass drum pedal is goin mental and the 3 chord wonder riff is pretty powefull all the same. Just give it a chance, I mean there not gonna let you hear/download the best bits, or you wouldn’t buy it (I hope!!).

I thought Andy’s voice sounded really good, that he was actually singing rather than growling (not that there’s anything wrong with growling on the right songs)

At first I thought “so-so” but after 3/4 listens it really grows.
I think Andy has a deeper almost Glenn Danzig voice going on (which is very cool in my book!), and the drums are excellent. I think someone mentioned the Helmet drummer and that would be pretty close.
I’m impressed, roll on the album!

yep, thought that was really cool too when I heard the song for the first time.
After hearing the live mp3 of if it kills me live (big thanks do denim demon again) I suppose it will be quite a “relaxed” sounding album.

it appears to be a mono recording, so if the guitars are panned hard left and right in the stereo version they’ll appear quieter in the non stereo version - anything that was centrally balanced eg. vocals, bass, bassdrum will appear louder than anything else panned left or right (which will lose about 3db of volume in mono, probably)… er, if you see what i’m trying to say…

I can’t get a decent download of it. It’s pretty disjointed on my PC..initial thoughts are that it starts off sounding like a B side, the bass has a very live sound to it though. Dunno yet whether I like it or not, I’ll need to buy the album and have a proper listen!
