It’s occurred to me that d and Hooch never actually got divorced, so Dan and d’s civil partnership is illegal.
And it’s tubthumper’s birthday, so you all have to wear these …

There are many MANY things between d and myself that are illegal, our civi situation is the least of my problems. Now uncuff me from the sink and give me some poppers.

I can’t uncuff you Dan, I don’t have any pliers. Another thing I can’t do is imagine what possessed you to buy such enormous cufflinks in the first place. It’s hardly surprising you have got them trapped in the waste disposal. You’ll just have to wait and see if a plumber turns up. Or a butcher :S

@ Marja - I really really like the Three Sisters because it is sooooo comfortable, it’s all big leather chairs and warmth and cosiness and the food is good for pub food and you get massive portions :) Stu really likes The Angry Man (I think) because it is a tiny little cave of a pub that looks like it hasn’t been refurbished since the 1700s and is full of dutch naval traders. He has a good point though because it sells about 250 different beers and I even managed to get a proper pint of bitter there when I was thoroughly fed up of all that fizzy pop you continental types enjoy.
I appreciate that those might not be your own selection criteria though! I hope you have a lovely time :)

It’s about 5 minutes walking from the Leidseplein at the same road as “De Melkweg”which is around the corner at the Leidseplein.

If it’s any consolation I have a surprise for you. I say surprise, but you it’s probably quite unsurprising on a scale of ‘not at all surprising’ to ‘actually likely to surprise’. And even then it depends if I can be arsed to post it. But it’s the thought that counts :)

Mr Bomb says hi!
This old place is looking kinda shabby what with its mouldering velvet curtains, threadbare rugs and exposed floorboards. I think it needs a makeover.
We should paint the walls puce with black tiger stripes, throw down a leopard skin rug and some nice ivory candlesticks then include a chaise-longue with a champagne bucket at the end. We should install a sound system that constantly plays Barry White.
Because of the new carpet, I think it will have to be shoes off at the door - so a really big shoe rack, possibly on wheels (converted transit van?) needs to be parked outside with the engine running, then I think we should invite the entire cast of Hollyoaks round for a relaunch party hosted by Gordon Ramsey. It’s the only way to reinvigorate this dying thread I feel. I’ll meet and greet and then once we’ve got everyone in, I ‘ll drive off and live happily ever after.
Plan?

Well it sounds like a good idea. Except for the puce. And the tiger stripes. And the leopard skin rug. And the ivory candlesticks. And the chaise-longue with the champagne bucket at the end. And the Barry White.
How’s about we replaster it first and replace all the missing floorboards and doors and re-tile everywhere that needs tiling and get a new sink (I’m assuming the old one is still under that pile of fungus) and then paint everything pillar box red and get some brass wall lights and a chandelier and a red carpet and a huge mahogony dining table and some matching furniture and then we can choose between throwing a dinner party and a seance.
Plan?
