There are many MANY things between d and myself that are illegal, our civi situation is the least of my problems. Now uncuff me from the sink and give me some poppers.

Near Leidschenplein is a good pub area. Although i have to admit i don’t go there often myself.

we’re staying in a hotel on the nieuwezijdse voorburgwal. Is that far from there?

@ Marja - I really really like the Three Sisters because it is sooooo comfortable, it’s all big leather chairs and warmth and cosiness and the food is good for pub food and you get massive portions :) Stu really likes The Angry Man (I think) because it is a tiny little cave of a pub that looks like it hasn’t been refurbished since the 1700s and is full of dutch naval traders. He has a good point though because it sells about 250 different beers and I even managed to get a proper pint of bitter there when I was thoroughly fed up of all that fizzy pop you continental types enjoy.

I appreciate that those might not be your own selection criteria though! I hope you have a lovely time :)

I can’t wait to get to Amsterdam, but I would rather spend my evenings at the bottom of the canal than at korsakoff, judging by the photograph!

Dennis- I’m not that often in Amsterdam, only about 3 times a year but when I go I will try.

I read the last post before I saw the ones above it. I assumed it was a reference to sex. I was also going to second the “Jammy bugger” comment.

Well it sounds like a good idea. Except for the puce. And the tiger stripes. And the leopard skin rug. And the ivory candlesticks. And the chaise-longue with the champagne bucket at the end. And the Barry White.

How’s about we replaster it first and replace all the missing floorboards and doors and re-tile everywhere that needs tiling and get a new sink (I’m assuming the old one is still under that pile of fungus) and then paint everything pillar box red and get some brass wall lights and a chandelier and a red carpet and a huge mahogony dining table and some matching furniture and then we can choose between throwing a dinner party and a seance.

You mean you are voting for Mr Bomb’s choice? I assure you it will only encourage the wrong sort of visitors. I know I was thinking about having a seance, but at least dead visitors would add a touch of class to the thread. Except for Caffeinebomb’s ghost, who is just as bad as he is.
