:) It took two years for me to tell my girlfriend that I paid 450€ for the 1st press of Motörhead debut “silver printed”LP:)
But I was really surprised how she reacted: she gave me a kiss and not a slap on my face:)
My time will come with the T? promotapes; then when I have won in the lottery or when I´ve done a bankrobbery:) After these prices what you´ve paid now, I guess the prices wont go down that easy.
Tried to get the tourschedules earlier this week but wasn´t lucky:( It´s hard to beat that person who won them, unless you place an bidamount you cannot afford to pay and you´ll get kicked out off eBay, maby it should be a good idea to stay out off that place, Motörhead stuff, there´s too much of that around there..

You’re right Petri, Ebay is not a place to get a “good deal” anymore. It was in the early days (early 2000’s), but not now as it’s too popular. Maybe record fairs is the way to go - back to the good old days!

But Ebay is addictive. I’ve seen promos and rare items on individual websites for, say, £20 and thought “that’s too much, I’m not paying for that”. Later you may see similar items on Ebay and end up paying crazy money for them. There’s something very strange about that place…

“The ebay auction and the damage done”, anybody? :-)

The most I have ever paid is probably about £13 for a CD, back in the days when CD’s cost that much.

I have a few CD singles and the odd cassette single from years back, but I have never bought anything expensive or rare to do with Therapy?

I tend to get into a band and buy all of their stuff but I cannot see the point of buying promos which have the same songs on but no artwork, or a radio edit with the swearing taken out or foreign releases with a slightly different hue to the cover or anything like that.

So long as I can get my hands on all the music, I am happy. Hence I will often by CD singles to get the B sides.

The most I ever paid was about 20euros for ” scopophobia” and for “so much for the ten year plan” limited edition,
but it’s a challenge to buy the T? items as cheap as possible so I often look on record fairs, music shops and on festivals and not without results yet.
I rather spend my money to see the guys at live gigs.

Cheers dudes.
Still, approx 500 euro for 2 demo tapes is a bit silly.
Unsurprisingly, I have decided not to tell the girlfriend about this! :-)

I was a bit surprised actually to see the 30 Seconds Of Silence demo go that cheap a few weeks ago (72 pound!?), since it’s even more rare than the Meat Abstract demo, there’s only 100 copies of 30 Seconds Of Silence and there’s 150 of the Meat Abstract demo.
It got me worried a bit, since I paid 250 euro for my copy of 30 Seconds Of Silence demotape, none the less I’m happy for you Alan, that you got that one tape for such a good price! That probably makes up for the huge amount you paid for the Meat Abstract demo, both my demo’s also costed me 500 euro in total, (the extra 30 Seconds Of Silence I got from Spaceball1 (since the first copy I bought was signed) not included :-p).

And I have asbsolutely nothing to hide for my boyfriend, he’s a Star Wars geek who even needs to get the whole attic cleared for his collection :-)
