you are missing out alright! i think that the new album is savage, can’t get enough of it, i go to bed with it and everything. We are going out for dinner and a movie tomorrow night, probably Rambo and an Italian.

@ LordGarbage : Really… I went to see the Sisters of Mercy at Paris last year. I still think it was a very good show. Anyway when I knew that the Mission used to play; I hesitated for a long time. Finally I didn’t go to see them. I suppose a reason.

I went to see The Cure at Paris 2 days ago. It was the fifth times I saw them. A good concert of the Cure, with no surprise concerning sound and ambiance, but they only played among their better songs.

Kayak in Apeldoorn last night. ‘twas just over a year since I last saw them. Good show, perfect mix of old and new material, and the female vocalist is more assertive and sensual than before.

It was an amazing gig, nice to remember it for once and was probably the only sober one there. The four Stone Roses songs eclipsed the rest of the set, opening with I wanna be adored and closing with I am the reserection, the rest of the set was also really good. The crowd was so up for it and i felt like i was back home as everyone was english and for once all around my age.

Velvet Revolver last week in Glasgow - Good gig, but there was a bit of an atmosphere onstage. They announced that this would be their last tour then went offstage 3 songs before they were due to go off for the encore. They came back, without Scott, and picked up where they left off with Duff singing until Scott eventually re appeared.
You can read a message from Matt Sorum and a reply from Scott about what went on http://www.rockradioscotland.co.uk/rock_jocks/tom_russell/blog/1/

The last gig I went to was the Specials/Beat retrospective gig at Sin City. The place was buzzing and I loved every minute of it.

Next Gig will be New Model Army, followed by Iron Maiden and REM.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear! Thanks for the link - very interesting reading!
I always thought that Weiland was a cock and reading that has just confirmed that even more for me.

I am just glad I think VR suck donkey balls, cos it seems like they are well on the way to splitting up.

Apparently Stone Temple Pilots are to reform and, according to a promoter i was speaking to at the gig, Guns n Roses are planning a reunion tour before the end of the year… Can’t really see that happening myself, but, who knows…

QOTSA- Sydney Big Top

It was really really good, the support was some two piece called the Fumes and they were one of the best supports i’ve seen.. it was like the white stripes but with the drummer and heaviness of the Melvins, very impressed.
Queens were just brilliant, a cool setlist of old and new and rare stuff and they were on good form and really up for it and they came out and hung in the bar afterwards which was cool.

its about a new phase called ‘cheesing’ wich involves tripping off cat piss.
