“To celebrate this week’s single release (we still have those in England) Radiohead have broken up the song ‘Nude’ into pieces for you to remix.
For those of you who enjoy this sort of thing, you can buy the separate components or ‘stems’ (bass, voice, guitar, strings/FX and drums) and remix your own version of the song. You can do this by adding your own beats and instrumentation or just remixing the original parts. More information here: http://www.radioheadremix.com/information/
You can buy the stems here: http://www.radioheadremix.com/buy/
You can upload your finished mixes here http://www.radioheadremix.com and be judged and even voted on by ‘the public’.
You can also create a widget allowing votes from your own website, Facebook or MySpace page to be sent through too.
Hope you enjoy it
For those of you who aren’t that way inclined, Nude is also available in its entirety on CD and 7 inch (UK release) at the usual retail outlets.”
I don’t know how much it costs to buy this as I don’t have iTunes…sounds like quite an interesting idea though

Seems to be 79p per track on iTunes, i.e. 79p for each “Stem”. So for all of them it’d be, what, 5 x 79p which is of course…um. Oh fuck off, add it up yourselves. I can’t help it if my Maths is shite.
*still working it out*
£47.98…?
32p…?
A million pounds?
*gives up*

Bit fucking cheeky charging you for the ‘stems’…
As far as I know other bands that have done the same have always made them free.

I liked “The Bends”, “OK computer” was good enough too, though I still think it’s one of the most overrated rock albums. Their later albums were almost impossible to listen to (with exception of several songs). And I feel the same about “In Rainbows”. For me it’s some annoying cacophony of sounds. Seems as if they drinked a lot, then smoked dope, then drinked and then smoked again and then recorded this album during one day. However I really liked that idea of downloading the album for the price that you decide.

yeah i caught the end of the show and saw them.
i didnt think it was bad. im sure they were pretty limited on what they could actually do on the show in terms of instruments and stuff cos theres more to that song than vocals, bass, guitar and drums and i quite liked the version they did. i actually stopped drinking my tea and put it down to really listen. everytime i hear that song i get shivers down my spine
i dont think it was actually planned fir them to do 15 step though, after nude finished JR was like ‘wadiohead everybody’ and then they just kicked into it and only managed to get half of it done
