I’ve been challenged not to touch a drop of alcohol for the whole of May :S

The only bit I’m worried about is that I might find it way harder than I think i’m going to.

Possibly, but I won’t be able to sleep and I’ll probably take it out on everyone else, which will mean that I will become lonely and unpopular as well as suffering from sleep deprivation. And then I’ll go nuts - and I’ll probably start collecting cats and wandering about muttering to myself and things will go from bad to worse until all that’s left is a big lump of healthy liver :(

So why are you thinking of doing this challenge? What are you trying to prove, and to whom?

i admire your optimism, but you should think of the pitfalls too.

Hmm good point. I think my liver is probably already buggered.

@Sam - I’m going to prove to myself that I can (or can’t!) say no to a drink. It really shouldn’t be that difficult - it’s just that because I rarely do say no i have no idea what it will be like. The guy who challenged me to do it did it himself in January, and he said the first week was really difficult. I’m just curious. Also my sister-in-law has finally gor so bad that she hasn’t been to work for 3 weeks because she started waking up with the DTs :S It put me off a bit!

Anyhow - enough of this tedious mundanity - bring forth the spouter of bollocks!

I just don’t really see what good short-term abstinence does, if you go back to old habits again afterwards (which I’m pretty sure most people do). Face it mrs h - it’s time to jump on my wagon ;)

How long is it since you had a drink? didn’t it start cause you wanted to beat my 10 weeks?

Excellent! You can join me and Hooch. We start on May 1st, but you could start now if you like. Get some practice in and let us know the pitfalls.

I’m still thinking about getting the police involved because a job brought about from blackmail isn’t legally what people call an “arrangement”… you sick weirdo!

So how was your stag night at G.A.Y i guess they had your usual table ready for you?
