There’s nothing wrong with liking who you like. But when its a musician or somebody who is making a career at it the tastes are going to be a little more defined and they’ll probably be a bit vocal about it. I’m not trying to put who you like down. But Its like if you talk to an actor and tell them that Tom Cruise is a great actor. Alot of actors will probably be very critical of that statement and get offended. No offense intended. Like who you like.

we could have this same conversation about art, or even about wine. like you said: you like what you like, and that should be respected.

In fact the whole idea of this thread is wrong. What is the “vs” about? I have both bands in my collection, do I have to throw one set away and just keep the one that “wins”?

^ Not necessarily. Versus can mean a healthy debate about the merits and lack thereof from each band.
Radio head
Pro : Good musicians, had some fantastic albums
Con : Miserable as fuck , Gone all arty and difficult now and forgot the tunes
Oasis
Pro : Quality songs. ( everyone likes at least ONE song, even if they hate the band ). Noel is a legend in my eyes. Funny as fuck and his arrogance is tongue in cheek ( and yes, he has admitted as such )
Con : Liam’s voice is deteriorating and he is an arrogant twat.

What you said makes no sense. I said everyone likes an oasis song even if they hate the band. Most people wouldn’t like a radiohead song even if they hated radiohead would they ?

Which is untrue - because I cannot think of a single redeeming feature… nevermind song

I’m sorry Oasis when they came out were a good band… now they are okay pub band who sell records. Radiohead were a bunch of stuck up wankers who did some good records then went a well shit/experimental but i’m sorry squall the new album has nothing in common with the last three and actually is slightly upbeat so you can stop the misribale shit.. if it is then fuck it it’s there style i don;t see people having a go at joy division for being a “bit grumpy” the production on the new album is good the playing and song writing is imaginative and the sings are very well formed and catchy.
Oasis haven’t been experiental going for a differnt gauge of strings doesn’t count in my book.

You’re joking aren’t you?!
The very idea of changing string gauge brings me out in a cold sweat…
Man, even the thought of using a slightly thicker plectrum than I am used to is just way, way, WAY too experimental for me…!
