Yeah, should be good…strange they’re not releasing them in order but they’ve made an effort and I don’t mind shelling out again when they do that. It was good to see them together again in the documentary, though you can tell Ken is effected by his illness and weirdly Mike sounded more English in ‘92 than he does now :D

Ok just bought the Necrotism re issue.. will check out the dvd in a bit. I hope they all have some good extras i’m not a fan of having to buy stuff twice being a cheap bastard and all.

Are these reissues remastered or anything? I’m even cheaper than you, Simon.

Remastered editions of Necroticism, Heartwork and Swansong were released in the US in 2004 (slipcase editions with a couple of videos and a poster - you can get them on eBay US), but there’s no mention that these new rereleases are the remastered versions…

It says in the album credits the remastering engineer… so it will be the same ones that came out a few years back.

Gonna see them play at Tuska next summer. Never been a “Fan” of them but I´ve heard the “Heartwork” once in 90´s and I remember that it was better than worse.

Yeah both very good, I see what you mean about Amotts accent but hadn’t he been living in the uk a while when he was in the band and then went back to sweden which might explain why its stronger now. Good to see them all together though, jeff doesn;t half say some shit jokes. I sort of wish they had released these in order.

just bought it the other day, Necrotism that is, great feckin album. the doco was alright but the 1992 interview was killer, Jeff was/still is pretty cocky, he has a right to be i suppose.

Where are CArcass playing in the summer? is it just gonna be a few festivals or will we get a tour out of them.

He was pretty full of himself alright but considering the quality of the band at the time it’s not surprising. Unfortunately they haven’t announced a tour yet, they are playing a few festivals but I really can’t face going to one of those:

June 6th - Sweden Rock Festival, Sölvesborg, Sweden June 20th - Hellfest Summer Open Air, Clisson, France June 27th - Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, Helsinki, Finland June 28th - Gods Of Metal Festival, Bologna, Italy July 4th - Metalcamp, Tolmin, Slovenia July 9th - Rockwave festival, Athens, Greece August 2nd - Wacken Open Air, Wacken, Germany August 16th - Brutal Assault Open Air Festival, Jaromer, Czech republic August 29th - Hole In The Sky Festival, Bergen, Norway August 30th - Loud From The South Festival, Bakel, The Netherlands

Don’t know if they’ll tour, hope so but maybe it wouldn’t be worth it financially. Necroticism was the first reissue, the Heartwork reissue is coming out next week, if you get in there early you get an extra CD with the Heartwork demos (probably only fanboys like me who are bothered about that kind of thing though).

Maybe there’s a two week residency at the O2 Arena booked in that’s being kept hush-hush for the moment…?
