Saw PL tonight, well 2/3 of the set as it started stupidly early. Who ever heard of a gig finishing at 9.50?! Anyway, the boys were on top form, Nick’s performance was good and the Gregster was on fire! Really enjoying himself and singing along. Jeff’s a good live prescence as well.
What did you reckon then up_in_flames?

Well I missed 6 songs because of the fucking silly start, but I wasn’t so bothered about the set, I was just really pleased to see PL live again and in good form. I actually found I enjoyed the SoL and PL tracks, not my favourite studio albums but they were great live. Erased and Over the Madness were highlights for me.
I fucking missed Gothic, can you believe that!?

So I watched the Over The Madness documentary today…
Interesting and the lads are entertaining, but now I see why people have been criticising it…some really annoying aspects to it. There are interviews with Steve where the sound is distorted so you can hardly hear what he’s saying, as well as a really fucking annoying trumpet parping away in the background when Tuds is being interviewed in a bar…and what sounds like a squeaky child’s toy going off during Aaron out of My Dying Bride’s interview! Sloppy indeed.
The Gregster comes across really well though, most entertaining, never really heard him speaking at any length before…looking forward to watching the long interview with him on disc 2 (as long as there aren’t any background trumpets or squeaky toys).

Oh yeah, and a nice link with T? - Aaron says the band had a good laugh with the T? boys when they played some festivals together in South America (Draconian Times era) :)

goods stuff on the T? front. Ya its a pity that the interviews weren’t done in quiter areas, seems a bit strange to go to all that lenght and fuck up the sound, and the guy is ment to be a pro doco maker. Won’t get to see it until next week, balls.

yep, hope so. was happy enough with over the madness, it was a bit cheap and student like but if he hadn’t done it i dont think anyone would have. Hope Holmes sounds good on the cd, he has gotten better over the years but he can still hit some lazy notes
