Guilty Pleasures

#

Started by RoyBatty (Steve)

We all have ‘em. A song/band/artist or film/TV show we really know is probable crap, but for some reason we believe to be the coolest thing ever. Here are some of mine: (Have a blast making fun…) :)

Billy Idol - Rebel Yell
The Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town
Charlie Sexton - Beat’s So Lonely
Rammstein - Du Hast
Judas Priest - Pain Killer
Eminem - My Fault
Metallica - St. Anger
Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country

Every Which Way but Loose
Nightmares
Robocop
Flatliners
Pet Sematary
Not Another Teen Movie
Punch Drunk Love
Rocky Balboa

Ouch.

Yep I love Robocop, have it on DVD. Will this thread become the Robocop thread after only 3 posts?

Also, I love Billy Idol, proudly and without guilt.

These days it seems to be lots of dodgy 80’s pop and synth stuff… people at work may kill me if i play “heaven on earth” again over the company music system.

I quite agree. But every person I know thinks it’s a comic book/video game popcorn flick. I try to explain the vicious social satire, but they look at me like I’ve gone batshit. They just don’t get it.

Most of the stuff on here I wouldn’t class as guilty pleasure - Massive Attack, Bjork, Airheads, Flight of the Navigator etc… all fantastic.

Liberty X & Savage Garden on the other hand - Wow Buffalo-boy - you really got the hang of it ;)
