Actually I suppose I could add Tyla/Dogs D’Amour to the list as they aren’t for everyone. I sometimes feel great as I feel like there my own little secret but on the other hand it would be brilliant if they got the recognition they deserve.

i like the idea of robert downey jnr’s character…an australian ‘method’ actor who gets cast as the black member of the army unit so goes to the length of a full body skin re-pigmentation to make the role more realistic

Nope. There’s certainly nothing even vaguely pleasurable about either of them.

Exactly. Same director. Same type of media satire. Shoulda put it on my list as well.
Yeah agreed, RoboCop and Starship Troopers are great films, even without the satire and social critiscism put in which I have also found; most people don’t notice. “Starship Troopers is so cheesy” etc because they just don’t “get it” :P
Have you read Starship Troopers the book? Completely different to the movie but a great story in it’s own right.

I read the novel ages ago while in school. When I saw the movie, I remember thinking to myself: is this the same material? Like them both, though.
I wonder if the above mentioned Wiki entry has any merit. I usually have trouble sitting through the director’s/actor’s/producer’s/crafts services commentary.

I am shocked. And saddened.
Jerry, you may delete my number from your phone, and my email address from your computer.
If someone was trying to abolish television, all they would have to do to win the argument is just say one word - “eastenders”.
It doesn’t matter how many good arguments for tv there are, that abomination will squash each one. Without fail.
The worst program in the history of ever.

Alan @ so you actually rate Eldorado more than Moanenders? I personally put them at the same level - but your right, if it was just Eastenders on TV then I’d rig it so that I could just play my PS3 on it and not receive anyTV signals!

I admit to bein a sex in the city fan.
Other guilty pleasures include, but are not limited to:
The Bill
Match of the Day
BBC Breakfast (I’m up from 5:30 watching it)
I’d Do Anything - that BBC show looking for a new Nancy for some West End show. Granted, I was only watching it to see the beautiful Niamh on it…

Now that she’s out though, that show has lost all purpose.
How Clean is your House and CSI are also brilliant TV shows
