Munster - Toulouse would be a great final.
So here it is ;) ,Tight Games for the semi-Finals it seemed…Fortunatelly for the Munster,Vincent Clerc,”The curse” for the Irish teams is out for almost 6 months…But Florian Fritz,as outside center, and maybe Clément Poitrenaud as full back (not sure him) will recover from their injuries…and if they are on top form at the end of May,they’ll be on fire on the Millenium ground even though the stands will be red all around ;)

Could have done a lot better too.
But, Kidney’s a good coach, can’t knock his success with Munster and the only thing I’m worried about is his possible loyalty to playing Munster players.
Also worried about how Brian O’Driscoll has said that he’d never play under Kidney.
Wait, I’m not too worried about that, BOD’s crap!

BOD is not crap
i will admit, he hasnt been able to play his game to the ability weve seen him play in the past but thats mostly because hes automatically targetted by the opposition cos they realise his importance to the way we play rugby. but even with him being targetted more these days, it draws tackles and space for the other players to play
in his prime, he was the best thing we had, and even now he gives the oppurtunity for other players to shine through by being a punching bag for us

Sorry mate, you’re wrong.
BOD hasn’t been able to play his game because he hasn’t been fit. He’s put on a load of weight, the captaincy is too much of a burden for him, he doesn’t motivate his players around him (RWC 2007 for example), he doesn’t create space you’re talking about.
In his prime, he was one of the best things we had. But so was David Humphreys. And Denis Hickie.
I can’t accept the argument that he’s giving other players the chance to shine for one simple reason.
Ireland 6 Nations starting centres vs. Wales (2008)
13 - Brian O’Driscoll (UCD/Leinster) 82 (capt)
12 - Andrew Trimble (Ballymena/Ulster) 22
Sorry, but Andy Trimble is not a 12. He’s not got the bulk nor the tackling ability to be a 12. Why couldn’t BOD switch to 12 to give AT a chance to shine? Simple reason so that Trimby doesn’t start to compete for his shirt.
By the way, caps are correct at the time of the game, both BOD and AT have more caps than listed above.

could the reason he hasnt been fit possibly be due to the amount of heavy tackles hes had to take.
and if your trying to say that when one player draws tackles it doesnt create space for other players then yuor just being stubborn or arrogant or both.
im not going to go to the length of pulling up statistics of tackle taken per game or whatever
im just going to with stating what i see everytime i see ireland play.
and as far as i was aware…eddie o sullivan chose the starting positions and lineups and o driscoll was pretty vocal in his disagreement with his tactics

You’ll soon realise I am stubborn and arrogant ;)
You’re right, EOS did choose the XV and positions they played, although do you seriously think that BOD, captain of the Ireland team, had no say whatsoever.
As for disagreement in his tactics, I haven’t heard, seen or read anything that suggests he would disagree with them.
BOD and EOS got too close. BOD was one of EOS’ ‘untouchables’. He wasn’t going to get dropped unless he was injured, the same goes for Hayes, O’Connell, Wallace, Easterby (until the 6N), O’Gara, D’arcy, and Horgan.
I’m happy(ish) with the appointment of Kidney, my only worry as I’ve said is the possible loyalty to the Munster players, and the fact that the IRFU have replaced a conservative coach with an, err… conservative coach. (albeit a better one)

Kidney is a good coach and a good coach doesn’t have misplaced loyalty to anyone but themselves. Pick the wrong players and you write your own p45 - simple! He’ll be missed but is the right man for the job. Hopefully Michael Bradley will come down to Munster and build on his earlier successes as a coach

Don’t know much about Bradley, but he’s done well with Connaught this season. Can see them contesting HEC placement again next season.
Just read on Beeb that BOD is supporting Kidney, which is weird as he’s previously said he’d refuse to play under him.

It would be nice for the French rugby that they would win Vs Munster, but I would’nt much sad if they lose…They would be depressed when Paris meet them for the semi-final of the French championship next month (that’s the way it will be for the moment) :D

Well how is Jonny Sexton of Leinster going to break into the side if ROG of Munster is constantly being played?
O’Leary too, if he breaks into the side then young players like Cillian Willis and Paul Marshall will find it difficult getting game time. And they’re 2 young, exciting players.
Hope BOD won’t get his way again, and hopefully DK will have the balls to drop ‘the greatest man in Irish rugby’.
Wotta cunt.
Congratulations to the Turnips on another HEC win. True European greats you guys are. Well done!
If only Ulster…

Johnny Sexton has plenty off promise but is a few years away from being an international. He should be ready to fill O’ Gara’s boots in a couple of years. If you don’t play O’ Driscoll then who do you play - we don’t have many class centre’s knocking around at present.
Great win yesterday - played every style of rugby in the 9 games. Onwards and upwards!

Ah tough task for the Munstermen and Lenny with Sale (and “Caveman” Chabal),Clermont (the most impressive team this season in the French Championship) and Montauban ( not to be underestimated cos’ of their efficient forwards’ pack and their local “fighting spirit”)
