Yeah, that should be MP3. You need to right click on the zip folder which the dowload creates, select “extract all” and just keep pushing “next until it is done. This will create a normal folder which you should be able to open / play.
Not a bad album at all, not up their with his best, but a decent effort. Feels kind of like With Teeth, but only because it is mainly live performance. Songs are a bit more upbeat.
I wonder will this one also be released as a hardcopy.

ive just spent two weeks converting my entire music collection from m4a to mp3 cos i dont have a mac any more and i wanted to stream them to my xbox too, what a bitch that was.
trent said they would be releasing a physical copy of the record, most likely in the summer

In the meantime I’ll think of something to do other than holding my breath.

Heard a few of the songs earlier, I like the mellow instrumental stuff but the booming synth drum beats ones I don’t (and I think they’re gonna sound dated really quickly).
Glad to see Trent’s keeping up his tradition of naming songs after Twilight Zone episodes though (“The Four of us Are Dying”).

I think the new album is ok, nothing too amazing some cool tracks. I just hope he doesn;t just release any track he writes and has some sort of quality control… i love that he is puting out new music more oftern but his past albums were good and took time as he did make sure all the tracks were as good as they could be.

Yeah - I’m starting to imagine him knocking an album out during lunch, “more free stuff for the fans, stick it online”…makes the music seem more “disposable” if you know what I mean

I agree,
You can tell that way more effort went into albums like the Downward Spiral or Fragile, but I am happy to see him knock out tunes more regularly.
Will have to listen to it over the next few days to get a better feel for it. My initial feeling is that it is decent, but not his best. My grow on me a bit more over the coming days.

even some of the fan submisions are worth downloading, just got a cool mashup of closer, were in this together and the line begins to blur…works really well
