reuben are awesome…ive got the first two albums and theyre both really good but other people who like them or have even heard of them are few and far between unfortunately. have they got a new album out?
yes its been out a while now. i own the 2nd one which apparently is their weakest but i think its great. the hardcore/noisy stuff with loads of starts and stops and odd time signatures isn’t really my cup of tea so im not that mad on the new one personally but i’ll kepp giving it a spin and maybe it’ll grow on me.

Which tour did you see them on? I saw them on the “Far beyond driven” tour - one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I heard that it went pretty downhill with him after that (he was hittin the heroin pretty heavy).
Only annoying thing was that Phil kept going into rambling rants inbetween songs. When they played “Cowboys from Hell”, he couldn’t really remember the lyrics. He had a powerful stage presence though.

The last gig I was at was the “Jakke 1965-2007 R.I.P.” at Vasta Virta Klubi on the 22d of March. Great nite and Jakke would have been proud of his old mates from different bands playing the classic HC tunes of Kaaos & Kuolleet Kukat. So we all finally said that nite the last goodbyes to this great friend of us all. I don´t know how I managed to take the bands playing on video (and the result was actually very good:)) and the same time I drank a lot, and I had a terrible hangover the morning after:)

Helmet last night in Sydney… it was really really good, they started with some stuff of Aftertaste then did the whole of the meantime album in reverse order then finished with some old songs and just another victim. They were chatting and catching up with the crowd before hand and then stayed and signed stuff and drank with everyone after it was a cool way to do a show.

The Australian Pink Floyd on Tue night. Totally blew me away!! The sound was perfect, the stage was like a mini Pink Floyd stage, complete with the circular screen and an inflateable kangaroo instead of a pig :D.
It was “The Best of The Wall” tour but they played other stuff too including Set the Controls, Keep Talking, Wish You Were Here and Money.
On Money, 2 guitars played the same part to recreate the multi layered effect from the album.
Oh, and their backing singers were HOT!! :p

Dinosaur Jr yesterday, at the Academy!
They are great, but I think the sound was crap, too loud! I only heard the “bass” and the guitar, I barely understood that Mascis was singing, and I imagined the sound of the drums by looking at the drummer… :-(
Does anyone have some pictures?
