Wannabe Friends on Myspace/Facebook

#

Started by fatboy

How often do you get emails from people wanting to be your friend on Myspace (not Facebook, at the moment) and see there are young American women who don’t really want to be your friend, but to show off their little porn sites.

HOW ANNOYING IS IT.

Honestly, I’ve lost count of how many of these wannabe ‘friends’ I’ve had. I used Myspace for social and creative reasons, not to have a wank over people that I don’t fancy.

Is it like this with Facebook?

Let me know.

you dont get that kinda shit with facebook thank god
i think probably the amount of time it takes to set up even the most basic of facebook sites makes it not worth doing for those porn site advertisers.
facebook kicks myspace’s ass in terms of being a social networking site, but its more limited in what you can do in terms of uploading creative material like songs and videos

bebo is gay…unless you want to stalk little kids

Myspace - Great for hearing music and getting latest news from bands
Facebook - Great for the first week while you search out old friends, a load of old wank after that with loads of shite applications.
bebo - Wank

If my indepth analysis is required for anything else, just let me know.

What I find annoying on facebook is friend collectors. They annoy me less on myspace because its less formal and taken less seriously, but on facebook there are certain people who blatently go around adding EVERY name they know, or just people to make them look really “complete” and popular. Or something along those lines.

Sorry if I sound ever so slightly bitter about it.. I’m not, I couldn’t really care - but it sure is a waste of time. What’s worse is being added by family members you basically don’t actually know or haven’t seen in years. Hmmm!

Or being added by family members you’re going to be looking at over the table during dinner later that same day!

Fuzzeh, if I had read your messgae earlier, I wouldn’t have bothered signing up to Facebook - its bloody difficult to get into. Early days, I guess, just hope there’s a delete button on there somewhere.

or just don’t log in to it…?

You can cancel the email alerts so you’ll never know if some well-meaning, happy clappy knobend that you never really liked at school anyway has tracked you down and sent you a message saying “HEEEEEEY! Long time no see! Whassssuuuup! Meet up for a drink or ten? I have three kids now, what you driving…?” etc etc etc

Not that that happens to me. Or anything. Like. Erm.

As you were…
