Spookily enough, I have a mate who wants to start a Pantera tribute with me, called Pantweara.
We both agreed that the hard-assed image was a bit beyond us, so we were gonna rename “Walk” as “Sit Down For A Bit Love”

The latest installment of the Bandykoot saga took a dramatic turn after Saturday’s gig…
After a couple of months of trying to persuade the rest of us to become a Motley Crue tribute, our singer and drummer dropped the bombshell that they are leaving at the end of the year to give the daft idea a go. :(
That leaves myself, our other guitarist and our bassist…so, what becomes of Bandykoot now? Do we recruit new members and carry on? Do we split now and leave a young and beautiful corpse*?
Watch this space, all will be revealed as soon as I know!
(*bit fecking late for this, I think…)
Do that thing where you carry on with mostly the same members but change the name of the band (Creed->Alter Bridge; Joy Division->New Order etc…)
In fact you could take that one stage further, steal the JD idea and become a New Order/Boyzone tribute band and call yourselves Boy Division.
Damn you’d go down well here with a name like that. Or at least that’s what they’d hope

Joy Division into New Order..?
But, didn’t the useless guitarist with the bland voice take over the vocals…?
Oh shit…:(

The general concensus was that it was a productive, useful rehearsal.
I, on the other hand, thought it was a bit wank.
And to think, some people call me a pessimist!

Dennis.. i’m too lazy to scroll up a few posts because of my lack of caring:p but i was wondering if you guys wanted an original song i have written.. it sounds like a motorhead rip off bass solo and all, it’s needs lyrics but it’s mainly done… it doesn’t fit pirrama and as your group isn’t particuly original the it sounding like motorheads missing song wouldn’t matter. If your interested just say and i can send you it.. i can write others for you in any style if you so wish.
Yours faithfully

Bandykoot Latest
For any of you who are into the soap opera that is Bandykoot, the latest news is this:
The guys who split off to do the Motley Crue tribute also decided to carry on in the world of Classic Rock covers, and have now decided that THEY are going to go out under the name Bandykoot.
Without going into details, those of us who remain from the previous incarnation of Bandykoot will from now on be known as “Legacy”.
We already have a basic myspace page started, so any of you who are friends on here and/or have added me or Bandykoot as friends in the past on myspace, please feel free to join us as in our new location with our new name.
http://www.myspace.com/legacyrox
On there you can also check out the myspace pages of my fellow band members Tug, Hannah and Jay, should you be as bored at work today as I am :D

Anyhoo, for some of you who may feign a slight interest out of politeness, I have updated our myspace with some “witty”(so it says here…)band member biographies and stuff.

I think they do folk jazz, but i’m sure you can take them in a fight.

Nah, doesn’t matter - I expect it’s actually a fairly common name, but we aren’t going to be a threat to any signed bands!
It was a name our other guitarist wanted to use for years, and after “Bandykoot”,
I would have agreed to anything, even “Paddington’s Cling Film Wrapped Cock*”.
Funnily enough “The Dave Ennis All Stars” and “Dave Ennis And Some Hangers On” were both rejected by the band…

YAY!
No-one came and we were bottled off by the landlady’s dog.

Nah, it went very well, thanks for asking.
CD’s are available from the band for a mere £3, or 2 for £6.
