theres rumours of them having a blind contestant.

there was also something on bbc’s website showing the dormitorys and one of them has beds that are too small [hobbit sized i think] and really itchy blankets…although, apparently we shouldnt believe everything we read, its probably all part of the big brother PR machine

I think Big Brother needs just one thing changed to make it great: the presence of the cameras. Don’t tell the contestants that there aren’t any, mind. Just lock ‘em up for a few weeks, then let ‘em out and watch (or rather, not) as they try to make a career out of it.
‘I was in Big Brother 9’
‘But… there WAS no Big Brother 9…’

Classic scene from kickboxer - watch that and tell me with a straight face that the guy is not a versatile actor!

@ Deadsetgav : you know you don’t might to expect to watch full contact or bloodsport because the new movie JCVD is really far from his earlier movies. Everybody here already knows that is talking about JCVD’s own life. When I went out the room I first thought we easily feel the belgian inspiration with the way how it’s been directed. Anyway I personnally liked it. Anyone likes whatever he likes, doesn’t he?
I also expect what our friendly belgian mates think about JCVD ?

Thank God I start working within the next few weeks as I’d probably watch it way too much.

That Stallone look alike is trying his best to win people around by always helping the blind lad, he’ll be out pretty soonish probably.

This probably needs it’s own thread…but here goes.

Went and saw The Dark Knight…Holy fucking shit!! I won’t give anything away, except it could be one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Ledger better get an Oscar. It’s not hype…he’s downright nuts! And the story is sooo much more than they let on. It’s a real Epic. And throughout the whole thing once you think you know what is going to happen, you’re wrong. They especially seem to like pulling the chains of the comic geeks (like me) who try to predict how things will ultimately go.

And it is dark!

It’s fucked up on par with Seven..if not worse. The things the Joker pulls are just wrong. Not ha-ha Jack Nicholson Joker wrong…I’m talking Nazi death camp wrong.
Most of the brutal violence is implied…but for some reason I found that more shocking. It’s the situations that people are put in that make it so brutal and intense. (and I don’t mean hanging off a cliff…while there is some of that).
By the way, it ends with you knowing there’s going to be a third movie (at least), but where the hell they are going to go with it…I have no clue. The ending is so different then what you’d expect, but I won’t give anything else away.

Just one piece of advice…empty the bladder before the show and don’t drink anything. It’s over 2.5 hours, but you won’t want to miss anything, especially the last two hours…I was in agony at the end.

long story short!…(too late) Go see this movie! Come back and discuss!

I really want to see this now - I read a rave review yesterday and with your recomendation it does sound really, really good. I thought Christian Bale did a fantastic job in Batman Begins - cant wait to see it.

I still haven’t seen Iron Man - wonder when that is out on DVD?

Indeed. Everytime there’s a scary bit in the film, you tear off a strip to add to the effect.
