I’ve a little story to tell - I hope you are sitting comfortably…
A little over 4 years ago I actually bothered to create an account on this site - Since about 93/94 I’ve been a big Therapy? fan (and music fan in general). I was at school around that time and had limited cash, so I spent all my spare change on blank tapes - copying all the latest music off friends with older siblings who could actually afford to buy decent music.
Since those days I’d managed to get quite a CD collection going, and as at that time I actullly had a bit of spare change, I was going through a phase of buying all the singles missing off ebay - and was looking for advice…
Anyway, after settling in and posting maany, many inane posts - most of which were unfunny, some actually funny and a whole lot more that made me laugh if no one else, there was a thread created by a decent chap called Seb (motherh666) called the ‘single womble thread’…
In this thread I happened to become involved in some rather flirtatious exchanges with a young female Womble named Jess… one thing lead to another, we emailed, chatted on MSN and had one or two phone calls…
When we actually met up, I knew straight away that she was the one for me - I fell in love with her imediately.
To cut a long story short, after 3 and a half years, a slightly messy divorce, buying a house and moving in together, I couldn’t be happier… and last month I found out that I was going to become a father - Yes - we are having the very first (I think) womble baby!!!
So - if it wasn’t for this board, and the good people on this board (special mention to Daryl ;) ) I wouldn’t be here now planning the birth of baby ‘Orinoco’
There are some really great people that frequent this site, some of you I’ve had the good fortune to meet and others even though I haven’t - I still regard as friends. This has to be one of the best places on the net to be a part of and I’ll keep you all up to date with the little ones progress.
So long you bunch of cunts (and I mean that in the nicest of ways :))
