I would just like to add my congrats and thanks to Rene for all his hard work here on this site, and the forthcoming revamped official site. I can’t wait. It sound very exciting.
He’s done some great work here for us in the past, and I’m sure he will do in the future.
I’m sure he knows we appreciate his efforts, especially as this began as a fan site and has developed into the official site. How great is that? I haven’t known this happen elsewhere.
It’s just reward for Rene’s toil over the years.
Cheers mate!!

I must admit, I do somewhat enjoy this message board, and have never really bothered with any others. Which I guess goes to show that I think this one’s tops. Hooray! That someone spends their time so that I can waste my time is really cool and very appreciated.

Thanks!

I did indeed move the new message boards to the server of the official site, when they were launched in April of last year. The new system is based on PHP instead of ASP so I needed a different server platform.
I simply added the design of Teethgrinder.com to them and you can hardly notice it :-) When the new official site launches, the message boards will also be available in the design of that site, so you can pick the one which is easier on the eyes for you..

Erm, according to my awesome powers of deduction…tomorrow! April 1st is launch day (I think Rene chose it so if it’s not ready he can just say “Haha fooled you!”). I expect he’ll post a message here to announce that it’s there, if you see what I mean…

But seriously, today is the ‘big’ day, the site will be launched, don’t worry! There’s just some final tests I want to do and a few ‘i’s to dot’.
Putting the site online will take some time as well (database stuff, etc.) and because Sarah should obvisouly be online as well to ‘share the moment’ the site will be revealed tonight, since she’s not online during the day.
Look at the bright side, there’s only a maximum of 12 hours and 18 minutes of waiting left :D

Speaking of April Fools Day - I think I’ve been tricked already today. Although the person who told me the story has been tricked as well, I think. I can normally tell when he’s bullshitting me, and he seems to believe it (or he’s become a really good liar!)

Hmm, as long as you promise it’s on the way, and it turns up before the new G’n’R album (hear the story about G’n’R and the Offspring? Jolly good stuff!).
Looking forward to it with baited breath…

Yes, it’s coming today, as long as there are no power outages, Therapy?’s webhost does not run off with the money closing down their data center along the way, etc.
I’ve heard about the delay (after delay after delay) of the new G’n’R album, but I haven’t heard the story you are talking about… Fill me in!

Well, just a story about the National Lottery in Ireland fixing the results every week. And how they were caught last night, and now have to refund everyone who has bought a ticket in the last year.
Not very interesting, or believable (reading back through it), but I believed it when the guy was telling me! But I wouldn’t put it past the people involved in the lottery if they did ‘fix’ it!
Besides, I’ve never bought a lottery ticket so I wasn’t too excited about the refund part, so I wasn’t jumping around the room celebrating an unexpectant windfall :-)
Back to the new site, could you gimme a list/idea of the rare songs that’ll be available for download? Or shall that remain a surprise till the actual launch?

The G’n’R album is supposedly called ‘Chinese Democracy’ and has been a ‘work in progress’ for must be 3 or 4 years now. G’n’R have (allegedly) got an injunction out against the Offspring, preventing them from proceeding with their plan of calling their new album ‘Chinese Democracy (Ya Snooze, Ya Lose)’, which shows a certain lack of humour on Fat Axl’s part I think…
