Yeah that’s a good one. I think Dermot recommended it to me on here actually. I bought the Shane Meadow’s box set - I thought Made In England was the best, DMS and Room For Romeo Brass were good, TwentyFourSeven average. Paddy Considine is an excellent actor, I really liked his performance in 24 Hour Party People. What’s he been in more recently?

I thought Dead Men’s Shoes was a better film than This Is England

Yeah - you have to remember it was made in the early 70s when you watch it. I think it’s more shocking than violent. It was pretty obvious Backwoods was influenced by it but I thought Backwoods was worse. I found that woman really annoying for some reason, Paddy Considine and Gary Oldman were quite good but the story was a bit shit.

Straw Dogs, fuck, that caused a stir when that first came out but good film though.

I just watched a good horror film with the kid brother out Of Dead Men’s Shoes (I think he’s Paddy Considine’s brother in real life?) - Wilderness…worth checking out
