You’ve never seen a ‘Dutch bum-trilby’?

I have indeed. Trilby was most shocked and still hasn’t been able to sit down.

Well yes , I wasn’t too sure that Holland could do it again but wow I was proven wrong they were immense , It was probably the best game i’ve possibly ever watched and im really serious about that I actually stood up and clapped when Sneijders goal went in.

What is it like out in the netherlands at the moment Punkwank? I went to Amsterdam last year on football tour during the gay pride festival and I thought that was mental.

I was completely wrong about the Dutch team’s chances - they look fantastic. I hope they carry it on and win the thing.
It would help erase the nightmare footie ‘played’ by Greece last time around.

mr self destruct, nice that your missus is from Holland - my missus is from Poland who’ve embarassed themselves at the euro’s so far!
She’s not too impressed. She gave me a bollicking the other night ‘cos I laughed when the 57 year old Austrian chap scored a penalty in added time.

Austria deserve a bit of luck as well after that recent ‘cellar’ business

Congrats To the Netherlands for this 1st Tour ,I really hope that they will be the final winners of this Tournament…I used to admire Marco Van Basten as a Player and the Dutch team in the late 80’s (Gullit,Koeman Bros,Vanenburg,Wouters,Rijkaard…),especially when they won the Euro 1988 in Germany, let’s hope he’ll know the same issue as a coach ;) .

I’m not really gutted for France, even though I was a little upset yesterday night after the defeat against Italy, but not surprised at all as I expected that : Tensions inside the squad between old and young players (Evra/Vieira, Benzema/Henry),Insane and no sense speeches of the coach,Domenech (He doubted about the motivation of the Dutch against Romania for the last game etc…) …and the “summit “was reached when he was interwied right after the lose against Italy, when Live and Direct on TV ,he asked his girlfriend (who is also a presentator for french TV) if she would like to get married with him cos’ he needed her support in this moment…That shows he didn’t care much of the competition, wasn’t focused on his task and as Jean-Claude Van Damme said, “He’s not aware” :D .

Ya France were pants, they badly need to rebuild. Can’t believe Eto is getting the boot at Barca and Henry is being kept on, least Eto seems to give a toss even if he is a dick. Italy weren’t much better. Are they playing Spain next? Hope Italy don’t go any further. I’m all for Holland or Spain for the cup.

Yep,they’ll face Spain next…Without their “brain” ( Pirlo) and their “cleaner” (Gattuso) on their midfield,it’s gonna be tough for them,a kind of “Corrida”,like people say in Spain…

France’s performance last night was the best of the tournament - because it took them going a goal & a man down to realise that the actually had to go and attack their opponents goal, rather than expect them to step to one side!! I agree with you Kill Hill that Italy weren’t much better and that they won’t really stand a chance against Spain (as long this competition’s Spain turn up rather than the Spain of old!).
Still have a sneaking suspision that it’ll be a Germany/Holland final!
