Self-explantatory really, so what are your faves?

I have just dug ot my copy of Spiritualized’s “Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space” which is packaged like a pharmaceutical - i.e. the CD itself was in a sealed foil blister pack, the “inlay card” was in fact a leaflet done in the same type of paper and in the same format at that which you get in a box of pills (“What are the active ingredients of Spiritualized?…What is the recommended dose?” etc etc) and the outer box keeps the theme up with “For aural administration only. Use only as directed by a physician…Each tablet contains 70 min”.

All very cleverly done, looks great.

I am thinking less in terms of “oh nice cover” and more the overall package here.

Any good ones out there?

The Pucifer ‘V Is For Vagina’ one is cool as well - its done in an airoplane safety manual style - complete with crapy illustrations.

The 10,000 Days and Vicarious single for Tool was cool - front mounted goggles and freaky 3d inlay cards!

There are others - Its nice when bands bother to do something interesting with the packing.

There are so many great sleeves out there, from all genres, its almost impossible to list favourites, but i tell you this: Zappa’s artwork is almost always fascinating. “weasels ripped my flesh”. Ace.

Bought it around ‘93 when it came out and i remember paying the equivalent of about 120 euro for it , which was a fortune for a student those days.

I had a Pink Floyd box set thing that had all the cd’s in Black cases which had the “Dark Side of the Moon” prism design along the spines. I think you got all the albums, some bonus stuff (a live cd i think was included) and a book. Pretty nice it was. I think it cost around £120, but i got it at a trade fair for some of my dads old Beatles records and £20!! Sold it for £70 a couple of years later…
