Haha,
You mean “Spider riff”!
But seriously, is it just me who notices the total decline in their musicianship and songwriting since both of those members are no longer in the fold?
I have a feeling that the new album could be a good attempt towards being heavy again, but time will tell. I have lost faith in these guys.

Their musicianship is pretty rubbish these days but i thin k the new album should sort that out. Im gonna buy it, not mad on the title yet but im sure it will make sense once the album has had a few spins

I think Rob will bring something to the band. There’s a new Mission video of him playing some frankly amazing flamenco.

its alright, wouldn’t say amazing though. he’d want to bring something to the band to make up for that million dollar advance he got when he joined up.

I don’t think Rob will be allowed to have much input into song writing. Lar is a total band nazi when it comes to these things. Same rule applies for kirk.

Just heard some of the riff samples. Heavy and thrashy. Liking them. Good, snarling vocals, but the lyrics, as someone noted before, are very much shit.

Hmm. Are you listening to the one that’s 2:06 long? It’s called “Mission: Metallica Death Magnetic New Song ——Edit.” Vox start at about 1:35. Listening to it right now. Het’s writing on a 3rd grade level. “Sell your soul to me/I will set you free” “Suicide/I’ve already died” etc.
