Anything new with T?

#

Started by TBS

Hey folks,
I’m in the US and don’t get a lot of T? news other than on this site. Any word on when we can expect the new CD? Any working title? Are they doing ok?

Appreciate any info.

Things have been very quiet of late…

I guess they are in the studio recording the new Album which is supposed to be out September or so?

TBS, I live in Ireland and still get all my info from this site!
They’re not exactly all over the radio and magazine covers over here either :-(

But you’re right to ask, they should be keeping this site a little more updated with what they’re up to…

They are being sneaky this time ;)

Has its pros and cons. The build up to OCFA was fun on the boards leading up to the release date. On the other hand though, the anticipation for what is going to come out is growing through the silence.

I can see myself just opening the page one day to see it totally revamped with the new album cover, release date etc…

Thanks KJC and Alan,

I really hope the marketing is kicked up over here for this release. Everyone I know here who’s heard T? really likes them. Problem is, if they’re not hanging around me, they probably haven’t heard much of T?.

Already posted something similar weeks ago.
Got abit shot down then for being impatient , which is absolutely true by the way.

It’s been weeks ( months ? ) since any updates.
Last note was that May/June was for recording , so with it being July now we should get some good news soon.

About time too , serious posts on things as woodlice and knitting needles already appeared here…

Hey there! Good to see another American T? fan. I can relate to the fact that the band is pretty much unknown here, but let’s keep up the good fight and spread the word through the music.

Hopefully, the new album gets a proper U.S. release, and the band gets the Stateside shot it deserves.

I thought “Infernal Love” got a US release, that’s when I first heard of T?, although there was little or no promotion. It was sample tape with a bunch of music from other bands like Ministry others. The song was “Misery” and I was hooked on the spot.

Steve- where are you in the US?

But yeah - when the new one comes out, I’m going to drum up as much interest as I can.

I think the American releases are;
Caucasian Psychosis (1/4 Stick) 1992
Nurse (A&M) 1992
Hats off to the Insane (A&M) 1993
Troublegum (A&M) 1994
Infernal Love (A&M) 1996
Suicide Pact (Ark21) 2000
So Much For The Ten Year Plan (Ark21) 2000
Shameless (Ark21) 2001
High Anxiety (Spitfire) 2003

Semi Detached, NANE, OCFA have not been released there. Nothing since ‘03 is a little worrying!

I’m in California, about 60 miles north of Los Angeles. Been allowing/forcing my friends to listen to T? for about a year now. Most dig them, but only a few have gone out and bought some of the albums.

Match.com - funny.

I’m in Virgina, about 30 miles south of Richmond for about 40 more days, then I’m moving to Missouri.

Dermot, if that was directed at me, yeah. But I retire in 40 days.

Hey TG,

Wasn’t trying to be sarcastic. Sorry if I came off that way.
I don’t post much here - so, I didn’t recognize that the growing, off topic converstation belonged elsewhere.

The “punch myself in the nuts” comment was something an old boss of mine, used to say when any of us made minor infractions that he didn’t want to punish with formal disciplinary action. So, I thought it was an appropriate respnse for the warning.

So, having issued the mea culpa, I hope I am still a member in good standing as a T? fan.

But I REALLY would like some news!

Later,

I hope you are a soldier then :-/

Anyway, back on topic… probably the media release I’ve most looked forward to ever was the movie release of Silent Hill - I’d check the IMDB boards for it nearly every day for probably something like a year before it came out (sad, I know). Anyway, every little snippet of information or fact about the movie was endlessly picked over and argued about by all the hardcore fans until when it finally came out you couldn’t help but be disappointed. So I think this approach of media blackout (practically) from T? has the potential to work well.

A couple of things worry me about it (like Michael being messed up on Jagermeister that time to the extent where he could barely play) - I hope that all’s well in camp T?, and that if it’s not, they at least channel it all into a kick ass album ]-I

Yeah,

They did specify that they want to make this album count, so maybe that is why all the hush hush. Dermot is also right above, there was alot of arguments surrounding OCFA pre release on these boards, could also be reason.

I can’t wait :-)

Nice to see another Virginian (well soon to be ex) on the boards. But 30 miles south of Richmond…isn’t that NC?

FNY… ,yeah - might as well be NC. I’m near Penisburg, er, Petersburg - at Fort Lee.

To quote a T? line - “the best thing about this place is that you know you’ll leave someday…”

Do you see much T? coverage where you are? I find none here. It makes me “frightened, confused and angry” as my son used to say when I asked “how do you feel?” Of course - he was just being a smart ass at my dainty, but well intentioned question. He likes T? too. I made sure of that.

Zippy coverage up here, other than when Screamager orginally came out.

I just stumbled into Pleasure Death and Babyteeth on iTunes!
I was playing Innocent X, and in the recommendation bar in iTunes it popped up Babyteeth.
Looks like Southern Records released them onto iTunes. But they messed up and it’s under “Therapy” instead of “Therapy?”
But the artworks there and everything.

Now if A&M (or whatever they are now) would do the same with the rest of the catalogue.
