I went to see one of our popular dutch bands from the eighties last monday called: Doe Maar. Even though it was a bit tiring (since i’m 7 months pregnant) to stand and sometimes even dance a bit for such a long period (2.25 hours) , it was a terrific gig. They are going to play a big stadium in two weeks but are doing some try outs in small clubs, which was what this gig was. So i’m glad i got to see them here :)

:) And if it’s ever naughty you can tell it it will have to come and live in England with Grandma Lobster, and show it Hooch’s pic in the caption competition. It will never be naughty again! :D

Seeing as I’m here, the last gig I went to was Severed Heaven at Rio’s last week. Best ever - they were brilliant :)

Maiden in twickenham yesturday, They were amazing , I was on the barrier but right under a big screen so couldn’t help but watch that at times which kinda took away the live feel if ya get me. But fair play brilliant set played to perfection really , the stage show was fantastic… a pity it was still light even up to the last few songs so the lights and stuff didn’t have there full justice. But nonetheless a great show and proves the world really that maiden are the biggest and probably the best metal band in the world at the moment… yes even bigger than Metallica lol.

The Dickies last night in Edinburgh. 3rd time seeing them and they were superb as expected. One of the most consistently entertaining live bands I’ve seen. Great stage show, great banter and some corking tunes! Brilliant!

Suikerrock in tienen last saturday. Presidents of the USA were… pfffff… well they were there and they played. No excitement there. Than local heroes the scabs did a reunion show. I was told it was good, I didn’t think much of it. Headliner sisters of mercy were great. You could actually see the singer this time, not too much smoke :-). Halfway through the show I sat down on a terrace, about 10 meters left from the stage. It was like sitting in the front row while drinking a nice cup of coffee. Soooooo rock ‘n roll and so surreal. But it was good. A smashing party afterwards, and enough dancing for the next months :-)

Thin Lizzy: was aqtually really good, I enjoyed it. This Sykes guy sand well those songs, and that Gorham dude played nice solos, but the topping on the cake was the drummer Tommy Aldridge; whatta machine, huh, huh. I dont know if anyone of you knew this already: this is the guy who did most of the drums on Motörhead´s “March or die” album back in 1992 (Animal did some, and Dee did some).

Iggy & The Stooges: Killer gig from begging to the end! These “papas” know how to take the audience wherever they play. Now we got “I got a right” and “Search and destroy” with full speed so the set was perfect can I say.
Hah, hahhaa; got on stage again during “Real cool time/No fun” like last Sep in Hellsinki on their Icehall gig. I´m getting used to that dancing/singing by now:)

Perfect Saturday in sunny and warm Seinäjoki.
