Cheers for posting that Dennis.
Yeah, a much more aggressive voice. I think the “John Bush on steroids” quote fits perfectly. Be interesting to hear him singing some other Anthrax songs. Hopefully a new album and tour won’t be too far off :)

LOL at “John Bush on steroids” - indeed!
There are bootleg videos of Dan singing stuff like Safe Home and Only on Youtube, but it’s difficult to really tell how good/ bad a job he does of them from the quality of the footage.
Putting my disappointment that the Bush-era Anthrax is over, I am looking forward to hearing the new stuff from the studio - by the sounds of these tracks they have gone for a very Thrash-influenced sound - heavier than ever. Could be a very exciting time for Anthrax, after the reunion limped to a halt so embarrassingly for them.

The new dude sounds like a shouter - can’t really seeing him pull off either Bush or Belladonna material.
Will check it out none the less - they are a great band live.
And yes, they are most certainly pricks for what they did to Bush.

I’m really not sure anymore… i love Anthrax, bush era is the best by far but the joey stuff was something of my youth. Basically they should have not stopped for the easy money, i have no real opinion on the new bloke as i feel they are trying to hard. I will buy the album and see but i think they have fucked themselves a bit.

I think when a band replaces a vocalist it changes the character of the band so much that you pretty much have to regard it as “new” band, so with Anthrax I’ll just wait for the album and see what I think of this “new” band. It’ll be different, for sure, but “different” doesn’t have to mean “worse”.
I just hope we aren’t entering the “Blaze Bayley” era for Anthrax*

* (unless that means in two albums’ time they are gonna return with Bush and follow it with three of their best albums ever. And if they wanna add Adrian Smith too, just to complete the analogy, that’d be ace.)

Adrian Smith aside, I quite like the idea of Anthrax having an aggressive singer, and going for more of a seriously Metal sound rather than the comic-book stylings of the Belladonna era. Still, Bush is going to be one seriously hard act to follow.

Especially as I have no idea where he lives or what car he drives. Fuck it, this stalker lark is RIGHT difficult
