He actually claimed to be a “son of the Godhead”…but no, he admitted he was wrong long ago.

sorry…godhead…godhead being defined as a conception of god or divine being.
did he admit he was wrong when he said he was told by a medium that he was ‘chosen for his courage to heal the earth’
or the stuff about the controllers of the world being reptillians from the constellation draco, in disguise as humans

hes a mentalist.
if L.Ron hubbard was alive today theyd probably spend thier weekends together giving paper cuts to each other in a bath tub full of lemon juice while listening to celine dion and sniffing poppers

Yes of course he’s saying less far out stuff these days. Once you get caught out being mental you have to tone it down a bit to make people think it was just a phase.

Why else do you think I post much less in GM these days and more in the music threads?

Dismissing him as mad or mental is just the easy way…lots of people say that without even checking out what he has to say. If you’ve checked out his stuff and still think he’s mad, fair enough, I would call him a truly free thinker rather than just labelling him mental.

He is a free thinker alright, but too be fair he has theories that are just down right insane. I agree to a degree that the world is heading towards a super state but to say that there are a few people behind it who are leading the whole thing is something i can’t get behind.

I don’t think the idea’s insane, but I guess you knew that :) I don’t mean only a few people, but I think it’s perfectly plausible that a collection of a few hundred people could be pulling the strings (of the Western world at least). Research the Bilderberg Group - a group of the world’s most powerful business and political leaders who meet in secret every year, with absolutely zero mainstream media coverage. They claim not implement policy but I find that very hard to believe…

Yeah, he has damaged his credibility with the reptilian stuff (though to be fair the theory is way more complex than “the world is run by lizards”)! I still think, no matter how far out that particular theory is, it doesn’t invalidate the stuff he says which does ring true. If you are interested in this kind of stuff then check out Alex Jones - his stuff isn’t quite as wacky as David Icke’s.

maybe the exact year is unknown, but nearer to 2199 than 1999, and humanity is fighting a war against intelligent machines created in the early 21st century. the sky is covered in thick black clouds created by the humans in an attempt to cut off the machines’ supply of solar power. the machines responded by using human beings as their energy source, growing countless people in pods and harvesting their bioelectrical energy and body heat. the world we have inhabited since birth is actually the matrix, an illusory simulated reality construct of the world of 1999, developed by the machines to keep the human population docile.

thats just as plausible as anything ive heard lizard-boy icke say

I have no doubt that there are people, such as Icke, who really believe they have actually communicated with beings from other planets, or that they hear voices from beings that others can’t see or whatever.

What I don’t understand is why they believe what they see and hear. If I experienced an alien abduction, for example, or started to believe that we were under threat from lizard-like beings, I wouldn’t start telling everyone or trying to save people’s lost souls, I would fucking well get myself sectioned and take the medication until the hallucinations ceased.
