I’m just wondering why there isnt much love for The Black Album? Do alot of you actually think songs like Sad But True , Wherever I May Roam , Of Wolf And Man , Through The Never , Holier Than Thou… Fucking hell the whole album is a masterpiece. Ok it was a more commercial album but for straight up hard rock/heavy metal it surely is one of the best of all time? I love master , ride and justice but TBA would be up there with them every time. I know your all entitled to your opinion but surely cheesy as fuck songs like Motorbreath , Hit the lights , Jump in the fire and Metal Malitia aren’t better than the ones of TBA I mentioned? Or am I hearing different albums.

As for the new album , I’m quite looking forward to it but with the title Death Magnetic I just think its gonna be a cheesy attempt to back to the 80’s. Actually it reminds me of newer Megadeth which I can’t take very seriously at all.

Not shit, but not brilliant either when compared to songs like Masters of Puppets, Battery, One, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Paint it black, For whom the bell tolls… the list goes on and on.

The songs on the “Metallica” album (enough of this “Black Album” or “TBA” bullshit) were simplified, poppy versions of the songs just mentioned. It is like they forgot how to play their instruments and got lazy when it came to song writing (not just the lyrics, but the music).

New Megadeth Cheesy??? Are one of those “generation ‘Tallica fans”? Megadeth mop the floor with Metallica anyday, anytime.

With Death Magnetic I am expecting nothing special in the line of lyrics, but hope that they at least up the ante music wise.

I like the ‘Metallica’ album - but the problem with it, in my opinion, is there is a lot of filler on there.

And some of the lyrics are quite frankly shit. Of Wolf And Man, Dont Tread On Me… I could go on. I guess they have kinda hammered the songs from that album to death live as well.

They said they wanted to write shorter songs as the crowd seemed bored with all the justice songs…metallica and kill em all both have classics and filler IMO.

Sad but True, The God that Failed, Holier than Thou — great songs, sure. But, Of Wolf and Man, despite being musically heavy in a cool Maiden way, has got to be the most asinine lyric ever written. My only problem with “Metallica,” or TBA, or whatever you crazy kids are calling these days, is when I first heard it, I felt it sounded way over-produced (how many Hetfields does it take to complete a harmony?) and thought the lyrics had been penned by vacuous primates. But I rather like it now. ;-)

@ KJC , I didn’t mean Megadeth were cheesy , I meant the title Death Magnetic sounds like a Megadeth album name. And no im not a ” Generation ‘tallica fan(I don’t know what that is???) infact there not even in my top 20. I love Ride to ‘Metallica’ , I don’t mind Load/Reload. Kill em all is ok. St Anger is awful bar two songs in my opinion.

And just to be an arse surely if Megadeth mopped the flaw with metallica everytime they would be playing places like wembley… and be the biggest metal band? Sorry :D it had to be said. (No arguments please lol) I know everyone has there opinion.

I do like most megadeth but tbh I gave up after Coundown , for all I know everything after could be great.

I heard there was a website where groupies rate the rock stars. Lars was said to be “a small dicked, pre-ejaculator that wouldn’t shut up.” Dunno if it’s real, though. One of those friend of a friend who knew someone stories.

Of course dude, but if we all went by album sales instead of music ability, I think we would be posting a different website, do you not agree ;-)

Yes, Megadeth’s very own turd was Risk.

Was Risk the one with Moto-pyscho on it? That was the song that made me stop listening to them. I did buy the last but 1 album off them but I lent it to someone and never got it back unfortunatley… and never bothered to buy/download it again.

Nah - Moto-psycho was on World Needs a Hero… it is track number two - I remember this because I bought the album and to this day have only listened as far as track two… I have no idea if the rest of the album is as pathetic as that track - but I’m not prepared to chance it.
