Despite writing it off with a “what the FUCK??” type attitude many months back, for some reason i’ve decided to revisit NIN’s “ghosts” this last few days and my word, its actually really rather very good! Shame on me.
Still undecided on “the Slip”, mind. Thers nothing wrong with it per se, its just a bit…well…non progressive?

I watched the live DVD that came with the digipack version and have found a newfound fondness for some of the tracks on there… I didn’t dislike them before (by any stretch of the imagination) but I think it makes them feel more… songlike - rather than feeling like it was something thrown together in Trents lunchbreak (if that makes any sense?)

Oh i know what you mean Gav, i too found the songs a little more “human” after seeing them live, its just…well…i dunno how to put it…A NIN album, for me, has always been an event. You wait a long time, get the buzz, then come the release its a totally exciting, not just the music but the whole artwork/packaging etc as well. Especially with the build up to Year Zero, that was just amazing. Then with The Slip, it was kinda like “here you go”, flung at you with no fanfare and i feel a little bit “wha…?” Disappointed i suppose.
I’m rambling, i know! :D
