I would say sound wise and agression its closest to Revolver, with some of the experimentation of the last album. Revolver is still the nuts but I find the haunted very consistant… and are probably the best of their genre out there in my opinion.

Reuben - In Nothing We Trust. I hated this album for ages but now i’ve given it a proper chance it’s ace. Just takes a few listens like all the best albums do.

Are there any other reuben fans on here? I’d love to know the REAL reason they split up recently!

I’m a Reuben fan. Jamie was on the brink of going mad, apparently, between work and the band and touring and Hideous, and couldn’t take much more… A great band, already sadly missed.

Yeah, just after i’d seen em live for the first time at the start of the summer. Apparently, they might get back together its a ‘hiatus’. Alt6hough one bit of criticism i would have to say about them is that they painted themselves into a corner with INWT…where would they have gone next?

Bit like the manics. If richey had stayed they would have been shit after THB if they’d made another one like it and then toured to the same few fanatically dedicated freaks. it would have been over for sure.

I think reuben were just finally getting what they deserved for paying their dues and breaking through a bit before they split up, DLNA was on scuzz and kerrang heavily and also seemed to be on the youtube home page alot and their christmas single wasnt doing too bad (apparently they fucked up somewhere so it wasnt chart eligible so it could of just made the top 40 in theory) they went out on tour with sum 41 as well i think (probably exposed their music to a large audience, even if its a shit audience no band would want to be associated with)
