Well, no. But technically I didn’t actually get arrested for ‘that’, either, not actually. The policeman said that though ‘it’ frankly appalled him, nonetheless it wasn’t technically against the law because no one had realised it was even physically possible so it hadn’t occurred to anyone to ban it.

Note for fact fans: That really IS the reason that lesbianism has never been illegal in this country. Same goes for female streakers.

Which was it, d? :D

Was thinking of the upcoming Extreme gigs and I remembered this lot who supported them in ‘92 I think. I used to have this on tape and it’s quite superb!
£3.60 from Amazon - great value!

Actually that’s not true, it’s an urban moth or something. According to QI.

Funny, I was going to mention that having reread the post today, but I thought you’d argue it. :D I didn’t get it from QI, though. Also, the whole covering the piano legs for the sake of modesty thing is another myth.

Where did you get it from then? I don’t believe there IS another source of reliable information! I know where you got the bit about the piano legs from though. You’ve been watching ‘Cash in the Attic’ :p

Lol, erm, no. It’s from a book called Inventing the Victorians. It goes over the various myths and preconceptions, and attempts to dispel them, with varying success. The piano one is pretty cool, though.

I just bought a… WEDDING DRESS :D
I still can’t believe it myself. Something a lot of girls fantasise about, including me, so I thought I was going to try on A LOT of dresses. Boy was I wrong. I have to admit I found my dreamdress on the internet, so I knew what I wanted. We were in and out of the store in half an hour, measuring, and paying included. I tried on the THE dress, and it suited me perfectly. Just to be sure, I tried on 1 more, and it was hideous, it made me look like a milkcarton run over by a truck. So descision was made, I’m soooooooooo happy right now :D
