Jeez,
After trying to do the honest thing and buy the album I will probably end up seeking a free download of GH3 - I still can’t believe this cock up and that the band is ignoring it.

I mean, the CD version of DM does have its faults, no one could deny that, but get over it folks - it’s not like the album is unlistenable.

The sad thing is… I really haven’t noticed the poor quality of the DM cd.
I used to have a really good Kenwood cd player in my Celica - but I sold it earlier this year. The one in my new car is a stock SEAT cd player and isn’t as good. The car is the only place I listen to CDs any more - in the house I play music off my network hard drive - the first thing I do when getting a new cd is rip it and stick the cd in the car door for a 2 week ‘tour of duty’.
I had a real beef with the production quality cds of late (I thought the last Type O Negative, Down, last two T? albums in particular sound way off par). Now I cant tell as much so I guess I don’t give a fuck anymore

Ah - I have yet to do this - I copied it to my Archos - but I copied the cheeky downloaded mp3’s as I couldn’t be arsed ripping the cd - but when I came to play it, all the track numbers were fucked, so I’ve stuck to listening to it in the motor on the way to work.

Seemed a bit iffy having the word someone in speech marks. Besides - all that was required was getting the audio out into the console and presing record.
And playing along on ” easy ” so as not to make any mistakes :p
It was worth it. The songs are a lot more listenable - and you hear stuff you dont even notice on CD

No - but if you drop a note in the game, it gives a *clunk* where the note should have been.

Well, I didn’t expect for one second that anyone from the Metallica camp would admit that there’s anything wrong with the mixing or production, or that there’d be a new version released - that’s just a pipe dream.
I can understand for PR and financial reasons why they’d brush this under the carpet, but if they seriously can’t hear what this so-called “tiny minority” of complainants can hear, then there is something seriously wrong with either their ears or their knowledge of music/sound.
