Collections (Geek alert!)

Started by soul doubt (an)

Both my boyfriend and I are collectors, because of our collections we’re forced to add a wing to our house. Well, not for mine actually since Therapy? records don’t take much space, but my boyfriend is a Star Wars collector and together we’ve got quite a games collection as well.

I love watching other people’s collections, whatever it is! If you collect something, post a picture of your collection here.

Both our Star Wars and Therapy? collections are boxed up at the moment (for the renovations, which have been delayed). But as for our games collection, here’s the Nintendo part (the rest is also boxed up ):
Nintendo part 1
Nintendo part 2

Not really collecting them as such , but when moving house recently I noticed I have an extensive range of jackets , including some rather expensive collectables from the likes of CP Company and Fila.
Knew I had some around the place but only then counted about 20 of them.

Have a number of pairsof Adidas Originals range runners to go with them for that 80s casuals look.

nah only kidding, I once had a dabble in stamp collecting when i won a big back of stamps in school.

I guess i collect therapy? and wildhearts stuff but not to the extent that i’d have to to be considered a ‘collector’

Im thinking about starting collecting relapse and earache stuff.

You’ll need a lot of cash - Earache has a massive catalogue

The only real collecting I’m into is music, and band shirts. I’m not paying insane amounts of money for 2nd hand items though, but when certain bands (T? included) release something new I generally buy it. So I have several T? CD singles, as well as several Iron Maiden picture discs.

Other than that, I have an extensive DVD collection, with my Anchor Bay titles (the limited editions of The Evil Dead (book of the dead), Evil Dead 2 (tin box), Army of Darkness (first 2 disc release) and Bad Taste) being my pride and joy.

If it ends up looking like clutter, I wouldn’t call it a collection anymore :)

Wow, nice DVD collection you’ve got there!! I bet you spend a lot of time/money in MediaMarkt? :-D

I consider my CD’s a collection.

I have 500+ albums and maybe 250 or so singles (I never buy the damn things any more - CD singles are quite shit really, aren’t they?) which by the standards of a few of you WoMbles is probably quite a modest collection, really, but most people I know raise an eyebrow when I mention I have so many albums.

I’m not one for collecting various editions or ltd packaging or vinyl or anything like that, although I do try and hunt down every song ever recorded by certain artists.

I “collect” guitars too, kind of. I only have four electric, one acoustic and a bass, but still in terms of wanting/ intending to get more of them over time then yes I am a collector :)

Actually, I’ve never bought a single DVD there. Plenty of stuff from the bargain bins though (5 for €10, or even 5 for €5), and I’ve been buying DVD’s since mid ‘99 so my collection keeps growing gradually.
