I want to get ” Rant ” By Chuck Palahniuk. I’m hoping its better than Diary and as exciting and interesting as his best stuff like Lullaby, Survivor and Fight Club.
Rant is great, as is Haunted. I’ve got Chuck’s latest, Snuff, though I’ve yet to read it.

^I read “Choke” during the summer, thought it was really good. A movie based on the book is coming out soon I think.
As for Stephen King, I read a book by his son a couple of months ago - “Heart Shaped Box” by Joe Hill. Worth checking out if you like King Sr

Snuff was different. As usual a twisted ending. Not his best, but was a real quick read.

The Firm, Time to Kill, Pelican Brief, the Rainmaker and Runaway Jury are his best. The Partner wasn’t too bad.
He occasionally gets an a preachy kick or can be downright boring. (The Chamber, and the Street Lawyer for example.) Stick with the first ones I listed and you shouldn’t be disappointed.
Here’s another guy with mixed results at the movies. The Firm and Pelican Brief were great. Time to Kill was good, but not as good as the book. The Rainmaker was too morose, the book was actually pretty fun. Shame since Danny DeVito and Matt Damon were perfectly cast for their characters.
The Runaway Jury completely changed the best part of the book. Turned it into a super-PC piece of shit. Completely ruined it. Maybe it would have been better if I never read the book.

By Bukowski? Just like all his other stuff - he gets pissed a lot, does shit jobs and shags rough women ;)
Post Office is my favourite of his.

The Alan Carr that wrote the smoking books did indeed cark it from lung cancer. The other Alan Carr is alive and kicking and puts on a dead funny stand up show too.

Just reading chunks of poetry, going through a couple of books and reading the ones I like repeatidly. Patrick Jones’ new book is pretty good, and no, I didn’t buy that on the strength of Christian Voice wanting his blood because a few poems upset them. Oh, did I say that Patrick’s brother is Nicky Wire from the Manics? Well, I have now.
